Life is but a dream within a dream
or so I've been told
and death just the beginning
from a life that's grown old

for when life starts again

Past Present Furture

The stars in the night sky are millions of years old
And it is said that when you gaze into them,
You are looking into the past
Years upon years
Of past lives lived
And stored in those beautiful stars
Concealing all the secrets of people’s existence
I wonder if our futures were written in our pasts
Because stars were created to show us our history
And we were built to glimpse at our futures

I refuse

I refuse to explode into a shower of tiny sparkling embers,
Falling through the air like a snow globe when
The going gets tough.
I refuse to blow up like an atomic bomb
And annihilate anyone in my path,
When the going gets tough.
I refuse to hurt others,
Because I hurt myself.
I refuse to hurt the world,
When the world hurts me.

You are the literal universe
Not the center either
but the whole thing

Your blood is a galaxy
While your heart is a star
fuming with love and lust

But on your darkest days
Your eyes turn into black holes
Your soul turns into an empty void
destroying everything and anything you ever loved

Your bones that once structured your whole world
will crumble and turn into a dust of dullness

The scientist will diagnose you with a word
that will be meaningless to you but still makes your heart skip a beat

But know that you're not broken
Your body of the universe is just expanding and growing
in this rather cruel world where we all have to call home

Inspiration from a friend who told me this -
"You are not the center of the universe. You are the universe."
