Because I could not stop for Death—
He kindly stopped for me—
The Carriage held but just Ourselves—
And Immortality.

We slowly drove—He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility—

We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess—in the Ring—
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain—
We passed the Setting Sun—

Or rather—He passed Us—
The Dews drew quivering and chill—
For only Gossamer, my Gown—
My Tippet—only Tulle—

We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground—
The Roof was scarcely visible—
The Cornice—in the Ground—

Since then—’tis Centuries—and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses’ Heads
Were toward Eternity—

The Ride

Pouring down, on top of me,
specks of dirt in harmony

Crawling through these eyes,
are the black winged flies

Slithering out of my nose,
are of worms that do not glow

What taste comes from my mouth, it's rot that pours on out

Sounds that call my way,
are crying skies of grey

For I took a ride,
that had changed my life

Beaten & strangled,
I was left mangled

Thrown in a shallow hole,
is where now lies my soul

i want to know
how to unknow you
Tonight: I wish all of this, and all of some people, never happened. I am tired just for tonight.

There once lived a girl
Free as can be,
Her smile bright,
Her heart young,
And her eyes full of sympathy

There once lived a girl
Loved by all,
Never sad,
Never lost,
But this was before the fall

There once lived a girl
Crying for help,
No one to turn to,
No one to trust,
Everyone heard her yelp

There once lived a girl
All alone,
No more friends,
No more laughter,
All because she wasn't a clone

There once lived a girl
Horrendously broken,
When her life slipped away,
When her smile disappeared,
So many words left unspoken

There once lived a girl
Free as can be,
Ruined by the world,
Ruined by society,
Now she lays under the oak tree

So many times she was hurt,
So many times she cried
While everyone stood by,
Now she is gone
Everyone has died a little inside
In memory of the girl with the bow in her hair

i am
a confusing person.

i may
love things
that i hate;

i may
hate things
that i love.

sometimes
i adore the sun setting
and i close my eyes
as the sun drapes itself
with dust and memories.

then
i despise the way
the sun rises
with false anticipation
for children chasing them,
desiring to touch
even a glint of gold
and sunlight.

but i try not to love
the way your crooked smile
makes everything look
endearing.

because
i am afraid
that i will soon learn
to hate it.
please do not make me adore you.

Born

                   a
               e      r
           y             s

since I joined hello
a larva with a torn soul
Clinging to Whatever's left of life

since I started scratching for light
Peeking at the  deeming tunnel
but still hoping

since I started dinning with poets
eating haiku in the morning
drinking sonnet in the afternoon
feeling the aching agony of the broken in the evening
falling in love with the dreamers at night

Since my heart was pounded
wrecked and left with unspeakable pain

Since Born was birthed
a crawling character that was literally dying
but still screaming for hope, love and dream

Since Ismael Ibrahim aka Born
stopped existing
and started living
I appreciate every single one of you for making this journey possible. In good, bad and worst I poured out my heart to you guys and you showed me nothing but love. Thank you

I wish that I could cry for you,
But those days have long since passed and my eyes have shed their last

I wish I wouldn't lie to you,
But from my lips it slips and from my forked tounge, venom drips
Husked,

A bed, a simple place to rest my head, a frame to lay and practice death.
