We both read our scripts,
but we're not on the same page.
You and I are just actors
who treat life as the stage.

We rehearse our lines,
but they're not what we mean,
for once lets break character
and call cut on this scene.

We could steal the show
if we rewrite the play
and end the charade
of this macabre matinee.

We've reached the finale,
there's no encore after all.
This is our shot,
our last curtain call.
To be loved by a poet
is to be embroidered with feelings.
To be torn apart,
examined,
and put back together as words
instead of flesh and bones.
We both are from different country
specifically very far from each other

You don't know my language
I don't know your language

our culture may be different
our tradition may be different
our belief may be different
our skin color may be different

both of us tried
I'm glad we tried
because there's a spark between us
that you and I can see

The few days we spent together
was the best days of my life

No I wouldn't want it to be over
This is just the beginning for both of us

Long distance relationship is absolutely hard
People say it is impossible
People say it is a joke
an infatuation

but I'll try for 'us'
and I hope you'd do the same as i do
I want 'us' to be real.

Because I wouldn't want it to end
Believe me I know,
This is just the beginning for us two.
Don't limit a child
They are the hope
Of future
I see it now
The truth to those drunken words
Words well meaning,
Words of fear and self-loathing
Words of hope and love and longing
Words of promises to keep and goals set
Words that turn to dust when dried out
Words that mean nothing,
Like the dust bunnies under your couch
Just. Words.

Just like your words today,
Telling me you asked someone else on a date.
While I was sitting
Just five feet away.
We Smiled,
We Hugged.
We Kissed,
We Laughed.

I Woke,
I Realized,
I Sighed,
I Slept.
The disappointment on realising it was all a dream.
