The way the lights touch my eyes
isn't as magical to you now as it was before—
it's now the very thing you're trying to avoid looking at.

Your voice doesn't shake for joy
When your friends utter my name.
You say some things go rotten when you don't talk about it.

I told you about the song I kept playing on repeat
For you it was like some bad memories
that you never want to look back at again.

You listen to new songs, too, though.
But the way your eyes light up when you hear them
Isn't the way I was used to
I couldn't find parts of me there.
It's not me who has not combed her hair in ages
that still looks beautiful in your eyes.
It's not me who you want to dance in the moonlight with.
It's not my eyes you want to see
When the presence of the stars feel like a dream.
It's not me who you want to spend time
making sense of the universe with.

I could not give you what you deserve
I'm happy you're learning to look for it in someone else.
you need to
break free
from the constraints
of your mind
and feel peace
upon your entire being

if you just let yourself fly,
the whole world will follow

Let the whole world go to
Bits of narcissistic appraisals
Thumbs ups and shares
Plenty followers to
Cover up a sense of isolation
They wish would fill the hole that
Seems too scary to explore
And I...
I just can't stop looking into it
Each and every day
And it fills me with
Dread, mystery and light
Of some other kind
That only monks see well
I was never like them
But always wished to find
That place I would
Finally belong to
Somewhere at the edge
Of a morning leaf
Where dew drop
Is about to fall
Funny, I visited a zen monastery and felt truly at home. Some monks thought I was enlightened. And I... was too narcissistic not to be affected by their praise. Breathe in and let go)
This is for the ladies who do nothing shady
live, laugh & cry
As time goes by a beckoning call
to relish in the memories of your past

Having so much fun with the hope that it would last
learning something new just waiting to be grasped
women's liberation heading across the nation
The roles that you have adapted to are your own

Searching to move ahead of the male dominate strain
not seeing you again is driving me insane
We have come this far not to turn back now
Free speech, abortion rights & love

From the beginning you had a plan
to try to stick it to the man
It is my hope you will understand
love is the essence of your existence

A cause to unite with the fight
voices with choices & employment
long lines in the sand
Your rights are deserved you shine bright

As a beacon of light to a hurting world in need
let us learn a lesson from those before us
something special, new & glorious
Light to torch that ignites the eternal flame before us

The sound of an amazing chorus
Today is the day when i stopped waiting for you.
I stopped glancing at different devices that you will let me in one more time.
I stopped every other illusions of you turning back into reality.
But that doesn't hinder me to love you back.
I cannot see or feel your presence
But you know what?
I have a power to imagine
Imagining that I'm loved.
No more I desolate myself to find me alone
I have you within me.
Call me crazy but I bet I'm more loved than you are in reality!
Never would I stop by you..I'm too broken..
The night watchman lights his lantern
From his balcony in the sky,
Shining his light on lovers each night,
And when they kiss, you'll hear him sigh

But tonight the moon is worried,
Frantic calls of anguish arise,
And as his light spills on darkened hills,
He starts searching with anxious eyes

The moon scatters beams north and south,
Fearing for the troubled lovers,
Feeling distressed, he looks east and west,
Then weeps for what he discovers

In the dark, a heart-wrenching scene ....
A woman,  alone with her tears,
And while she cries, the moon denies
The sad truth that her heart most fears

Her dearest love has gone missing,
He has not been heard from in weeks,
No word from him, her hope grows dim,
To her heart a fearful voice speaks

O, careless moon, what have you done,
She lost him when you looked away,
Slowly she dies, pain blurs her eyes,
What fate befell him, can you say?

Can you shed no light on her woe?
Please try, send her spirits flying!
He must be found soon, please, dear moon,
Little by little .....  she is dying
Beauty is theirs,
Grace is theirs,
Life is theirs,
And freedom,
Yes, freedom too,

They are the bringers of life,
Lighting away the darkness,
Giving hope in times of despair,
They are the jewels of the universe,
Smoothing away all troubles,

Treat them with love,
And kindness,
Remember them before the ticking of time,
And hold them close,
Respect and trust their bond,

Life eternal sings in their hearts.
Laugh through the tears,
For life is short. Be
Quick to forgive, be
Slow to abort friendships built up
Through the years.
Be quick to forgive, and
Laugh through the tears.

Cry when you must,
For life isn’t fair. Be
Slow to give up, be
Quick to repair broken dreams built up
Through the years,
Cry when you must, but
Laugh through the tears.

Slow down, look around,
Life isn’t a race. Be
The best you can be,
Set your own pace, for life is a journey,
Which spans unknown years,
Slow down, look around, and
Laugh through the tears.

Trust in your faith,
Mortal life has an end. Be
Loving to family, always depend
On your friends; They’ll be with you,
When hope disappears.
Trust in your faith, and
Laugh through the tears.
