Chaos

Little did she know,
I love her
and the chaos
in her heart.
Jagged words have a way
Of cutting through
Clenched teeth
And sealed lips
Destroying dams
Built in bloodied mouths
And soft hearts
Remember the golden rule.
I have taken midnight station
Set in quiet contemplation
Sipping on the thickest silence,
Such a sickly-sweet libation

Silence can be addictive.
Sometimes I think of those nights
Flowing through the veins of the city
Coursing along the waterfront
Carried along by inky waves
Watching the wind dance a waltz
With the leaves at my feet
As I walked that concrete stage

In the deep corners of 3am,
I find her.

An eye for an eye
Makes this a world
Of cyclopi,
And two,
Society goes back to
Being blind.
Morbid enough? Well. Things are worse.
Blackberry vines curl
Around wooden skeletons
Reach for sunny days

you can't love someone
into loving you
although most of us will try
one must love themself
enough to know
when certain love must die
