~for old, recovered, & new
tunes ‘n friends~

Lord I’m one…
<>

the lovely old tune ease on in,
infiltrating, harmonizing, my soul with
just-the-ice
of another
glorious
sunrise,
inching over the North Fork

soon enough, the body~mind continuum,
will ask me to slide~glide,
move over, make room
for a new tune,
here, asking you to call me,
if you need a friend, find place,
a chair & navy cushion,
  to We observe as
one

mine own carnival of animals,
do their morning exercise,
jumping from here to crazy, squirrel~crazy,
the flitting flighty birds, back and frothy forthing,
pointless lyrically zooming from tree to tree,
their AM calisthenics

an ancient crooner sings of knowledge
of how lonely life can be, and I soft retort,
this morning forbids lonely, come to me,
you my dear ones,
who welcome me into your hearts…
kiss my words
with affection, stating
everything will bring a chained love,
linked by tears of pearl drop-down,
a necklace of joy,
& everything is and will be alright

yes there is something happening over here,
so when you ask,
what’s it  all about Natty,
my reply is easy,
how sweet it is
to be with
you,
my words unrehearsed,
and I brim with
anticipation of Us together,
sipping our coffees,
giving Our silence to be
part & parceled out to the
superior quietude of our surroundings, where
the sounds, well,
they infiltrate our conjoined beings,
I think~sing-enjoy deeply,
that old tune

by the Sound…
and the drum  we march to,
synced,
and only
some supreme being
smiles knowingly
One cup of tea
and this rainy morning
Sitting in the balcony
relishing life's journey
This is true earning
Black & White

Once not so very long ago
When life was in a simpler time
Parents taught their children well
And there was reason in the rhyme

Morals and manners and common courtesy
To treat others with kindness and respect
But now generations later its something
That’s succumb to great neglect

Parents stopped parenting and tried
To be their children’s best friend
The word no started to be challenged
Parents caved so friendships wouldn’t end

Now the world is crying out loud
This incredible sad sad song
No one wants to acknowledge that
We were incredibly so so wrong

Now there’s no truth because the truth
Is lost in the vast universe of lies
The children have their participation
Trophies and we feel so proud and wise

But boys are wearing dresses and girls
Are covering their beauty with tattoos
And they’re wearing combat boots
As we’re all being fed one set of views

There’s chaos and confusion we’re lost
In the mist of grays with no wrong or right
The foundation has crumbled and blurred
Has become the clearness of Black & White

google when back at home, read about
people, and know we may after all
be twins.
Emotions awaken to the sounds of heartache,
the windless days so still and refined;
Telling stories old and bold, but deliberately passive,
yet active within each others' minds' eyes.

Out in the atmosphere lurks a stranger,
with gossamer wings, bleak, aged and dark;
Reaching toward the heights of terror and gloom,
crushing a small voice crying out, like a meadowlark.

Distracted are we, the many sounds of confusion,
as we kick the can down the road of solitude;
Attempting once more to depart from images,
which feature only cloudy days and weary sighs.

One day the distractions will morph into glory,
and bring profound hope along its mighty trail;
The mind's eye bulges with bright anticipation,
as shadows soon dissipate, sullen and pale.
When you’re gone I’ll visit thee
And replay all our memories
In the forefront of my mind
Your body’s gone, but your spirit thrives
Just as if you’re still alive
For now until the end of time
You are who I gave my love to
And now you lay in your tomb
Yet still, you are mine
I remember moments of bliss
Which takes me back to the time
When our two lips kissed
And you became mine
We knew not what love was
But we loved our time shared
Like the games that we played
Hide and seek, truth or dare
Those are the times
Which none can compare
And in your eyes I stared
Like a breath of fresh air

A smile, a wink
Holding hands in the park
Made up of magic
That ignited a spark
Innocent and pure
We danced and we sang
Laughing out loud
Seemingly nothing to gain
Only lighthearted fun
Under trees in the sun
And when all was said and done
Our victories were won
And although they were small
We stood proud and stood tall
Because we had each other
In the fall, after all
