Words

Be careful of words,
even the miraculous ones.
For the miraculous we do our best,
sometimes they swarm like insects
and leave not a sting but a kiss.
They can be as good as fingers.
They can be as trusty as the rock
you stick your bottom on.
But they can be both daisies and bruises.
Yet I am in love with words.
They are doves falling out of the ceiling.
They are six holy oranges sitting in my lap.
They are the trees, the legs of summer,
and the sun, its passionate face.
Yet often they fail me.
I have so much I want to say,
so many stories, images, proverbs, etc.
But the words aren't good enough,
the wrong ones kiss me.
Sometimes I fly like an eagle
but with the wings of a wren.
But I try to take care
and be gentle to them.
Words and eggs must be handled with care.
Once broken they are impossible
things to repair.

She opens her eyes... a flash of blue, yet two shades.
A game of cards, a hand of spades.

One eye vivid and bright, a sky blue that suddenly takes flight.
The other eye is different, more darker and deep, a blue that hides in the shadows and invades my sleep.

Both eyes balance that darkness and light, I muse. Yet if I could, which one would I choose?

The answer is none for as long as the sun and moon still co-exist and the day still turns into night's mist.....

I will love her two shades of blue because darkness and light are still beautiful too.
For those who find beautiful everywhere, in the darkness and light.
there's still
a single ray of hope
in every corner of your heart
when everything is unachievable
and when you start to believe
in

impossible

When
I'm at my emptiest,
I long to lose
Myself in physical
Ecstasy.
Desperate
yearning
extinguished
Through
flesh on flesh.
******* passion
Throats ripped,
Blood pours.
Devouring
your entirety
On a wave of
Nothingness.
I ache
to feel
Something.

Taught thought in time slot
Crime line held to pine
Worst thirst never first
"All is well." they say
Yet earth is hell today
Mill bill not a thrill
Moat vote gets the boat
Fair air very rare
Pretty as the peaches
More polluted beaches
Who knew what to do
The whole show will not go
Fine lined but is it signed
Where is Earth decadent
Now who will  represent
To put it in a nutshell
Earth has truly gone to hell
From .'The HodgePodge Assumptions'.

my father broke my heart
before any guy ever had a chance
it’s hard to trust someone
and to let people in
not because you are scared
that they will break your heart
because part of you know they will
i mean, that’s what you’ve grown up with, right?
but also because you don’t wanna
risk that chance of hurting yourself
you’ve learned to protect yourself
by distancing people from you
it’s the easy way out, but also
the safest for yourself
