When the dark comes creeping
And the night feels strong
When the stars can’t guide you

For the night has many terrors
Yes the lack of light is hard
It plays on all emotions
It can leave you battle scared
But you must trust me lady
For tonight will soon sail passed
And you my dear will be with me
Your colours tied to my mast

on a Sunday afternoon
the garden barred its double doors
and sent them to their doom

Only a friend will walk,
That extra mile to help you out,
Only a friend understands,
You, and what you're about.

Only a friend will cry with you,
When you're hurting deep inside,
Only a friend will secure a secret,
That you prefer to hide.

If the sun didn't rise in the morning,
And black clouds covered above,
Only a friend would turn the sky to blue,
With warm words and a show of love.

Only a friend will stand beside you,
Even though you're miles away,
Only a friend can make you smile,
To help you through the day.

Only a friend will take the time,
To listen to what's been said,
Or place themselves in front of you,
If you fear what lies ahead.

Only a friend will do all this,
In their heart there's a message they send,
I'll always be here when you need me,
Because you "You're my friend."

No one worth possessing
Can be quite possessed;
Lay that on your heart,
My young angry dear;
This truth, this hard and precious stone,
Lay it on your hot cheek,
Let it hide your tear.
Hold it like a crystal
When you are alone
And gaze in the depths of the icy stone.
Long, look long and you will be blessed:
No one worth possessing

We fell like the leaves
I blew away with the wind
a warm heart only believes
that love will never end

i should have known
there would come a day
when winds would blow
and birds would fly away

a bare branch heaves
swinging in the wind
indian summer deceives
the cold is setting in

There is nothing to write about
Oh but look! The sun is out!
But again that's so dull,
Maybe I'll write about a bull?
No no no, no one does that
Oh yeah I used to have hat
It was a wonderful olive green
I loved it when I was a teen!
But those bygone days won't return;
some of it's memories need to burn,
Though it used to be sweet
It was gone in one heartbeat.
So there's nothing to write about
And so every word is filled with doubt
Maybe I'll have something tonight
Or tomorrow, about a flight:

A one with birds
Amidst the skies
Amidst the clouds
Over the mountains
Over the shores
Atop the houses
Atop the hills
One with peace
One with war
