when eventually we grew so
close, so connected
that we dissolved into each other- I started to
hear your thoughts, you grew heavy with
my feelings
and we held onto [this] so tight
navigating through this little world as a single entity-
as proud as though we ourselves had invented love
But when we became one person
my darling
we no longer had separate heads to put together
to admit
to accept
we were each only realizing
half our potential.

As I lay me down to sleep,
I can't get you
out of my head.

Come run with me
to forever,
I'll hold your hands
till we grow older.

Smile when my eyes
are frozen,
because they're all frozen
for you.

Kisses might be far too soon,
but I'll be waiting,
our hopes and dreams
are ever in our destiny.

Let me take you
to the edge of all heartaches,
and show you
how beautiful it is
to be with.

Take this love of mine
wherever you go,
no, I don't even call it love,
I call it Geronimo.

In the middle of nowhere
you can feel that you're alone
but it's when you're with people
that you realize you're on your own

I promise
That you'll be okay
I promise
That you'll make it through today
I promise
I'll be here forever
I promise
I'll let you go never
I promise
That I will stay by your side
I promise
I'll be with you through this tough ride
I promise
That I will always love you
I promise
Because it's all I can do

The night sky above us was splattered with stars.
Millions of them.
Galaxies and constellations right before our eyes.
The universe was dancing and rejoicing
To a cadence that could not be heard, but only felt.

When I was little
I fell off the monkey bars
and scraped my knee
Instead of running off to the swings
I got back up there
and I held on to each rung
so tightly
I had blisters in my palms
but when I got to the end I felt breathless
and maybe that's where it started.

When I began driving
I would grasp the wheel
so tightly
as if the more pressure I applied,
the better I could steer.
I always got perfect scores
on my driving tests
but my fingers ached
when I finally had it in park.

I've been clinging
to the remnants of a friendship
that I tripped into
and I didn't try to get back up
or strive for perfection
because I liked it the way it was
and I keep smiling while you walk away
but I can't wave
Because you broke my wrist
when you pulled away
but I don't think
that's all that's
Broken.
