They asked me this question in class one day

"What do you want to be remembered by?"

I wrote down the answer of what they wanted to hear

But to be honest

I just want to be forgotten
So no one has to hurt when I say
goodbye

I started writing a poem and somehow found myself
comparing your traits to that of a sweater,
and there might have been an allusion to buttery clouds,

So I decided maybe love metaphors aren't my thing,
but I don't need analogies to tell you that
your eyes make me think of tree houses and that

kneading your skin like dough is just as soothing
to my own soul.
If I could, I'd compare your lips to something

life-sustaining, your hands to the sole thing that
grounds me, but I can't think of
anything clever when our foreheads resting together

makes me see stars. When your breath heats my neck,
those stars explode.
You make my solar system change rotation,

planets straying from orbit, which is a stupid metaphor
because I'm not the universe,
just a dandelion in a field of assorted weeds.

You're a bumblebee hovering, maybe, or a cricket
lounging on my petals. That's
dumb, too, because I'm not rooted to the ground;

I have legs to run, maybe wings. Point is, I'm not going to use
comparisons to tell you what you do.
Every line has been used before and your love is like no other.
You destroy my insides everytime l take you
I always hear how you will be the death of me
At least in the afterlife l can tell tales of the good times we had.
Life might get hard
I feel like running away
But only you know how l feel
You blow all my troubles away

Sometimes l steal money just to get you
But everytime l take you l have to admit l feel guilty
Not because you made me a crook
But because my reasoning and health you took.
No one understands how you make me feel
Your steam makes me feel like a man of Steel.
Anyone who comes between us l might just ****.

When your kisses kick in everything starts to fade
And my eyes turn red.
I only love you when it's half past five
The only time l can put you on a paper
And roll you like a wrapper.
I used to run away from you
But whenever l wake l only hear your voice call
Maybe it is your seeds that make my hair grow.
it's like for a few hours no one is living
not dead, just living in the now.
troubles have been left home
like the wives, kids and parents of most.
Young pretty mouthwatering females everywhere.
Truly women will be the end of men
everyone is looking and searching for that perfect one.
but who finds love in this worldly place.
No,l take it back
l found love is this worldy place
and the only thing stiff is not my neck.
everyone see's her,l can see the hunger in their eyes
l did not know her name
but l decided to call her Friday
for her body is down the week
and her legs are like a smooth stick.
l wish you could have seen her yourself
for beauty is in the eye of the beholder
but l feel like l have the eyes of the earth on my shoulder.
if tonight l do not dream of my flawless empress
something must be wrong.
for she is not a muse for a rhyme
but for a song.
her whole body shakes when she walks like she is playing ping-pong.
and every time l steal a glance my heart skips a gong.

l try to look for the last time at my bottle shaped Delilah
but she catches me looking
and with one wink
my heart beats like a song by metro booming
A man with a dream
Is No different from a kite
For they all lack vision and sight.
For some the sun shines East to West
But mine shines West to East,
So l have no time to waste.

I wasn't born with a Porsche
I never had a Yatch
I Never had a Country house nor a Country Club.
I never wore fancy Silk Blazers,
But my past does not define me and neither do my deeds or words uttered from my  mouth.

No one believes in me
I am all l have,
My ambitions are like echos from a cave.
But actions speak louder than words
And my dreams will never fade.
I look to the North
The East
The West
The South
But there is none like me
I am different, l am special, l am like no other that has roamed this earth,
They Try to hold me down with the system,
They secretly doctorate me and use Shackles and Chains to limit me.

But l laugh at them
For my dream is bigger than me, them or any man on this earth.
FOR I AM A MAN WITH A DREAM
And it is my only drive to the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

my sheets know your secrets
my pillows, your thoughts
my blanket misses your warmth
and i,
i miss your touch
Her
As I think about the distance,
I start to crave your brilliance.
I dream to see you for an instant.
Without thinking of you my words have no sentence,
And I question my existence.

When I look at the sky,
I think about the time.
If talking to you is a crime, l am willing to do the time.
How fast will it fly?
How much will I try?
Your voice is like a drug
Only made to get me high.

Why are you so unique?
How are you so complete?
You're someone I cannot critique,
As you always bring me relief.

To you, I can write a song
About how your heart's so big
And how my soul you rigged,
How our hearts just clicked.
Unlike my future profession,
Your care  I do not question,
Yes you are the person.
A short poem to someone very special

Sunshine girlfriend
Held her hand through the blonde waves of the afternoon
Daytime explosion
The warmth of her clothing
It’s sensual sunlight
