The in-between of time
our common angst
the past on our left
the future on our right
(the endless tug-of-war
but I can't take either side)
with the self in the centre
  as the silent on-looker

  how could I myself divide
  into distinct parts or fragments
  and lose my own individuality
  and identity?

   the past insists
   on telling its story
   the future cares not
   it is impatient
   it is not content
    to be listed second
     superiority it claims

    but my love
    my reason to be
    we choose to be free
     unbounded by
     the time in-between
      every moment
      we create our own glory

       destiny
        is what we make
        of our life together

         love heals and does redeem
it gags the voice of time
          which we'll deem
          but an overused metaphor

           love puts every hour
           to rest. Our love
           has spoken
           it could never be
           an error.

Nothing worth having comes easy,
That's just a lesson I've learned,
And sometimes when there are things we desperately want,
We have to be paitient and wait our turn.

Those you love will sometimes annoy you,
Or hurt you in some kind of way,
But still that does not diminish the value,
Of them coming back to see if you're ok.

At times the weather can be miserable,
But the sun always comes out in the end,
So take a deep breath and march on,
Treating the world like your best friend.

I love you*
I had said
&
I say it still

I can't be disloyal
never to you
and so here is where I will be
Forever till I have you
or
Till I die

I can't be disloyal
to anyone else
as a heart can only love one and once
and mine has already chosen you
and so I can't lie to myself or you
and move on
from this love in my heart
even if it means nothing to you
aik ham hain yahan ke bewafai nahin hoti
aik tum bhi tou ** kuch bewafa
-myself

(if green is your favorite color of eyes then why'd you look straight into mine)

Time to wake up...
to write a poem
Shower, feeling the healing water--
and write a psalm.
Time to be energized by rising sun...
to write a rhyme
Move below blue
and sometimes cloudy skies...
and write a doggerel.
Sit down to dinner opposite deep beautiful eyes...
to write a poesy.
Time to look at the grand star studded sky...
and write a couplet.
Look, I see a shooting star.
Time to make a wish dreaming
of more sonnets to write.
All to illustrate
the portfolio
of a poetess's life.

FOR I
am a walking, living poem.

Just thinking about how poems are in everything.
Nice to see you come around
changing color of leaves
from green to brown
Hi October, would be a dream
if you could just stay
and hang around
Met by chance on a highway
Instant friends
Liked you right away
Confused
Conflicting emotions
Hard to look away
Your eyes are like magnets
Our souls connected
But you went away
Didn't know what to say
Wish I could have
convinced you to stay
What I have
Who I am
I would have shared
What's meant to be
Isn't certain
The future
Isn't written
If your travels
Bring you back
To me
Imagine how happy
I would be
If you don't
Want to come my way
Then I will
Just live another day

Glow
Snow falls softly
A flake lands on my cheek
I smile and think of you
