strange faces
in a crowded bar
6 PM
business attire
some are young
still full of passion
some are ready
to retire

chatter hums
about things
that may just matter
to them
but to me
it's nonsense

like a passing train
steel wheels clattering
against well traveled rails
strange faces
forward, empty stares
moving so quickly
they blur into nothing
and dissipate from memory

no sooner
do crossing gates rise
and we drive
as if nothing
has happened
And in my slumber,
I crave
the taste
of your delicious lips,
traces of me
on your strawberry tips
& your sweet nectar,
oh, the
thought of
licking
your sweet nectar
arouses me &
keeps me up,
all night.
I've know every square inch
of your beautiful topography,
kissing you from your crown
to the tips of your toes.
I've memorized every curve,
nook and cranny,
slipped between your hills,
ventured up
into your valley
& journeyed over
your long stretches.
And during my travels
over you,
I learned wanderlust
& I must have you,
again & again.

I pushed you away out of cowardice, because this little ghost heart of mine wasn't worthy of the noble intensity that is you.

You whisper the words,
I hold them inside my being.
My heart explodes,
For the meaning.
Meaning,
Of love.
To hear those words,
Spoken from your lips,
Those words,
Meant to touch my soul.
They travel through my ears,
Down to my heart,
Warming my body on their way.

" I'm  in  love  with  you "

Those simple words you say.
Create in me,

E l e c t r i c i t y .
I spoke to him tonight.
I am alive.

You're a happy invasion of my mind
Stampeding into my thoughts
Stumbling into my dreams
And owning all of my smiles.

Life is full of adventures,
I just have to learn how to keep putting one foot in front of the other,
              breath,
and realize it never looks easy.
Leaving the one person you love is never easy, but we have to be courageous and learn.

In the distance I hear your anklets chime
With your every step as they  rhyme
The soft tinkles of your green glass bangles
Puts my being in twists and tangles

In front of the mirror you come sit
un turning leisurely your earrings
Unawares, baby you begin to play
music on my heart strings

As you smile, I gaze with fascination
In the mirror, your rendition
Bidding good night, your eyes close
Leaving me to admire, your beauty in repose

You turn and place a kiss on my cheek right
Holding the promise of a stormy night
The battering rains will drench
the earth and in turn quench
The fires that in my heart you lit the first time
When I heard your anklet’s chime
Written from a man's perspective.
