Hi there, how are you
I'm happy you stopped by
I really like the poems
you've been writing

You worded them so nice,
the phrases made me smile
I read them and my thoughts
begin igniting

I learn so many things,
from your creative work
You've taken me to places
I’ve not seen

The endings were superb,
your stanzas so enchanting
I felt as if I slipped
into a dream

You touched my lonely heart,
while I just sat here reading
Hoping when I did
it would inspire

So I could write like you,
express a thousand feelings
About this special woman
I desire

For I am so in love,
she makes my body tingle
More beautiful than I’ve
seen anywhere

And when I kiss her lips,
completely mesmerizing
Like heaven sent an angel
down to share

My life is not the same,
whenever she is with me
To hold her in my arms,
it feels so good

So thank you for your words,
the poems you’ve been posting
They help me out just like
I hoped they would

Now I am off to read
some more amazing poems
That I now find are scattered
on this site

And thanks for stopping by,
you wondrous hello poets
Keep writing and I wish you all
good night
I learn something every day from all of you amazing poets on this site. Thank you so much for your words and inspiration. I appreciate each and every one of you.
And I don't want the months to pass
I'm not looking forward to Christmas,
No Thanksgiving or
Halloween.
No snowballs or fallen leaves.
That's less time
For you and me.
Pause today.
Live with me.
No more holidays.
No candy.
No pumpkin pie
Or Christmas tree.
Just you. Just me.
This bed. These blankets.
Your eyes. Your lips.
On mine.
*No time.

people change,
situations tear them apart,
opportunities bring them closer..
I didn't see her for three days

then she was back
but her color was not

where her hair parted
was starkly arid
on her forehead
wasn't the dot of red
and her saree was bleached white

yet nothing was amiss
she intently scaled the fishes
cut them neatly into pieces
though a piece of her went missing

She knows well
for no price
can she stop the sale.

What can I say
that she's not heard before
so many voices are calling

Where can I find
every poetic word
so in my arms she'll be falling

How can I stand out
a face in the crowd
from all the others now showing

Coerce her eyes
till she sees no one else
gazes my way now are flowing

When will it be
till I'm all that she wants
another her heart, won't be stealing

What can I say
that she's not heard before,
so she will know how I'm feeling
He worked vigorously
Tired himself out
He began to forget
What true loyalty was about

He played even harder
Exhausted to the bone
He wandered aimlessly
With no where left to call home

He touched the sky
On more than one occasion
No matter how many people cared
He kept himself out of the equation

He reached rock bottom
A few too many times
Got himself stuck in a hole
That was too far down to climb

He laid on the ground and prayed
For his one true saving grace
She reached her hands down
And pulled him up, with a smile on her face

Shadow

I screamed but my voice was a whisper,
The shadow took my hand and said everything is okay here.
Hard to believe.
The things the voices were telling me.
There soft voices so bitter sweet.
The shadows gentle hands.
Telling me there was a plan.
That everything's under control.
Yet the ocean waves rolled and rolled.
I was far under the surface.
Trapped by my mind.
Impossible to find.
I hide the pain I feel.
But deep down know the pain is very real.
Slipping in and out of people's life's.
Feeling I never do anything right.
This is my reality.
No it is not a dream.
You can say snap out of it.
But it's absolutely useless.
The only thing I hear,
Is the shadow I hold so dear.
