I see you from a distance, forged in bronze,
four happy limbs moving in the sand,
milk-white teeth glinting like glass in the sun.
I see you held tightly to chests,
at home in a different home, and learning to love,
with fingers raking through pitch-black hair.
I see you laughing at us for caring so much,
spinning, spinning, but your head still ******* on,
moving like velvet in a world of lead.
I see you now, as I always did,
with a voice like thunder and a gaze steadier than the hand of God.
I see you in everyone I’ve met since then.
the wind's whisper was
a romance of sound

satin sheets
shifting
softly
sliding
between her legs
with each gentle tug of his
her marble skin was the rapture
of his innocence
and the oarsmen
of his temptations
rowing him along
toward her
between her nubile legs

and he felt
for once
not like an invader
a Viking
a barbarian
trudging over the mountains
with lust arming his flesh
for the takings to
come

no

he felt
like a father
dutiful

yet also
like a son
respectful - obedient

yet truly, he was
her lover
who had mastered her platonic whims,
sacrifices, and conditions;
earned her trust
earned her surrender
and her, his
and her, his undying, unabashed love
devotion
humility
honor
reciprocal instincts
romantic intuitions
senses of guardianship and homage
faith...

for, he felt stronger
bedding her this day
than any woman before her
stronger
than any promise of affection
any kiss
any trust

for, she had conquered him
passionately
patiently
enduringly, with love
convincing him - resoundingly
that her heart was solely HIS

for that day,
with her inviting him into her womb
that was the start of their honeymoon
the firmament
the consummation
of their oath to love
and eternity
humanity

with no remorse for their matrimonial union...
no fear
no sorrow
no misery
no end
I wrote this as a Twitter poem last year, on the 28th of December.

Enjoy!

I wrap Your arms of love around me
Warmth fills my heart.
I breathe in deep.
Tears well up, knowing Your intimacy.

Love.
Your eyes are on me.
I am not alone.
I don’t need to struggle,
Because I have Your attention.

But do You have mine?
Please renew my mind,
So I can know the deeper things of You.
Love.
most of it works now,
memory plays a part,
when we look
to the mountain.
Something in the distance and somehow coming closer,
I lock the door which leads into tomorrow and wonder if
but no, that can't be so
and so
I climb out of the skylight to reach out to the midnight which
is always there hiding in the background.

and if we remain the same the same cannot be said for the sounds around us constant in their change,

the blind man does not see that the beggar doesn't care and the beggar doesn't see that he too could be the blind man,

Travel free my inner scapegoat
You’re liberated, off this hook
No more shame-horned
Guilt-stomached dread,
       scarce enough to wrong-bare
Not startle-sneezed or tremble-shook

I excise redundant remnants
Bad wattle glands where crime hangs large
Not Billie-blame,
Nanny-regret
       or just a wrongless kid
No fair-trial felon, biased charge

Imagine dropping heavy torts
The solid clunk as fault hits floor
Past carried light
Kind compassion
       wide enough to weight-bare
Rich mixed plant pasture evermore
An end to serveless inner war
