 Nov 2016 Kush
Robin Dunlop
I try so hard to avoid it,
The thoughts of when and why.
What a strange thing to wait for,
This inevitable goodbye.

I prefer to put my focus on,
The joys of the here and now.
Forced not to take for granted,
All that the present will allow.

Knowing this togetherness will end,
Burns deep within my heart.
Dreading such a gloomy day,
The two of us shall finally part.

However, the reality of it is,
We're all looking towards the sky.
Waiting on those final words.
The inevitable goodbye.

Ikaw at ako, tayo

Lahat sila'y naging kasinungalingan
Ang dating naglalakbay na "tayo"
Ay nawala, naging mag isa, naiwan nalang ang "ako"
No forever. No forever. No forever hihi <3

John Keats
How many bards gild the lapses of time!
A few of them have ever been the food
Of my delighted fancy,—I could brood
Over their beauties, earthly, or sublime:
And often, when I sit me down to rhyme,
These will in throngs before my mind intrude:
But no confusion, no disturbance rude
Do they occasion; 'tis a pleasing chime.
So the unnumbered sounds that evening store;
The songs of birds—the whispering of the leaves—
The voice of waters—the great bell that heaves
With solemn sound,—and thousand others more,
That distance of recognizance bereaves,
Makes pleasing music, and not wild uproar.

I never thought you'd take it so far

A clever girl with spots running across

Your cheeks were pale this morning

It reeks of foul play and burning

Black tar bubbling on a hot summer

Days in the sun remind me of the

Night we soaked each other in liquor and

******* basements are chilly when

Your blood runs thin, the ink soaks skin

Needle ****** again and again but

This time you stayed asleep.

Rest in peace...old friend.

My thoughts pushed emotions out the window a long time ago
they whisper calculations about fall times
laugh about the ease with which they could push me out too
discuss other modes of my demise, suicide
The blade's not that far, a dose more, the car door...

But I don't want the summons they preach
i grit my teeth and force my eyes to the stars
when they tell me, 'soon you'll be gone'
turn on a nightlight when they go too dark
Run, corner to corner, with the fright of the marked

My thoughts and I stand across the arena
the two of us locked in a never-ending fight
but we called a momentary truce tonight
And in a rare epiphany
I realized
My thoughts are a beast separate from me

So who are you then?
I implore them

You invaders of my head,
who want something so different than I?

And I,
if I'm not you, then

What the hell am I?

They never answered me.
The more you resist
the longer they persist.

At dawn
An  inspiring breeze
Began to blow
And spread
A sweet odour
Everywhere
It seemed as
Of March and April
Had brought
A message
To the garden
And meadow

South by Southwest
The clouds race golden
As be chariots
The sun is born
Like the deviants

As gusts of wind
****** the thoughts
Underdressed
The chest it coughs

While Major Clank
On wheels and stub
Bellows out and
Rubs the nub

Then by runes
the best made plans
Test the dikes
And angst of dams

The age of truth
The youth desired
Across the space
without the wires

The universe comes
In a box
Neatly packed
Shelved , detoxed

And all because
Annointed by rain
The blue sky morning
Clouds it's pain
