Part of you cradles a star
that's why the Sun loves you

your dust is cosmic
your spirit eternal

the light of your star
a heart made for love

A Lorraine
When you look at me, what do you see?
I see a transparent body, outlined by bold black
ink, a distant reflection of me

You see nothing, yet you see me?
I see nothing but those behind you and those walking through
your outline, yet I see who you should be

If I were to disappear, what would you do?
I do not know considering, you are not there.
You are like air

If I am like air, can you feel me brush against your skin?
You are not as strong as the wind; you are like the air I breathe in

Why are you the only one who hears me?
I hear you because I am the mirror of your outline, I respond by showing you the truth of what you only choose to see

How do I fill myself in? Become visible and whole?
You find your true colors and escape into your soul

Reading old messages from the girl i loved.
crying to sleep because i was the one she loved.
Missing her smile all day long.
I cant live anymore so what's really wrong.

Seeing things that remind me of her.
wanting nothing in this world besides her.
Thinking how to end it all by tonight
maybe pills, God knows i might.

So this is my farewell, My Goodbye
I love you all but this is goodbye.
Handful of pills and a heart full of regret
I'll take my life and that you can bet.

Express yourself!
Don't be afraid to show your true self!*

No matter how much I want to,
No matter how much I need to,
I can't.
I don't want to get beaten.
I don't want to get ridiculed.
I don't want to get kicked out of my own home.
I'm not comfortable in my own skin.

Got Guanxi
I realised I couldn't make change,
So I stopped trying to make it,
Now I walk past outstretched hands,
Born to make mistakes.

To take the time to discover the world before we lived in today,
That exists before us,
There so much more,
But have those ancestors ever mattered less.
The history lesson
Feels like detention,
People careless now than they ever did before

And that's no metaphor,
For peace or freedom,
Emancipated in the dawn of mind
But will my generation make more change than the one before.

We heard Cassius clay,
Make that change - from his slave name to rounding an army -
Followers Muhammad Ali.

We heard Malcolm X,
Make that change,
People looking at him strange when he took aim at the oppressors.

We heard Marcus Garvey,
Make that change,
Force thoughts through a better day,
To escape that pain.

We all heard Snowden,
Make that change,
Expose the corrupt,
But he's the one they want to put it in to chains.

We heard Bob Marley,
Trying making that change,
Emancipate from mental slavery,
Of the mistakes our ancestors made.

Now it's time for you and I,
To make that change,
Follow in the footsteps that were left to guide the way.
I never normally write like this but it's a random one - not something I rate but the sentiment I hold in high regard
