About you

As written by the eyes of friends,
as the broken toy our glue mends,
warning signs, it all aligns
perfectly.

Obviously,
words you said, you meant,
as needles, pinches, letters sent,
ripped apart by unclean hands.

We stared into darkness
wishing there were lights
deluded by our sights,
took steps in bismal directions.

We'll fade as our connections,
receive returned letters untouched.
As the time we dreaded, clutched,
we chase,
hoping it would not escape,
hoping it would show its face.

Embracing the lessons learned,
I've lost my will to be concerned
Museums aren't everything but I'll finish what you couldn't.
She was water
soft enough to offer life
just not tough enough to drown it all away.

All the poems I wrote for you
were fond hyperbole; your hands
were not the saving kind and you
tasted nothing like the sea.
This is now.

Circles of dreams
           tender shoots
reaching out
          into the night
my arms
          wind around
your frame
          my spirit
wisps about your
            essence
your sanctuary
           unfolding
out to me
          so freely
you give me
        your lightness
and hold mine
         into you
we extend
        our boldness
and I feel
blessed
        to be a part
of this union
so ready for
         the celestial force
the pinnacle
of lifeflow
         blood rushing
in ears as
my veins connect
to earth as roots
       and then suddenly,
in this
mineral tenacity
of sound,
         I rise

" If we were stars glowing in the sky
Illuminate the dark like a shining light
If we were sparks flying in the wind
Flashing in the night ignite the flame within"

A Time Glitch
Hypnotised by the rattle-clank of wheel on world,
your eyelids sink, seduced into darkness
by the soporific roll of machinery.

The outside blurs and folds, the world overlaps.
Your chest begins to heave and slump with sightless breath
and mindless beat.

Caught somewhere between here and when, you slip
and fall into yourself, onto the bed,
the bed of a stranger. A soulmate.

You linger just a moment, a time glitch,
relieved by the horror, horrified by your relief
at the jolting pleasure between your parted thighs.

A molten bead of sweat, from his brow to yours,
branding you, marking you, claiming your skin
as his. You are one skin now.

And now, as if to take his newfound form,
you feel his hand at your neck, his palm on your throat,
your life in his grasp.

Surrender. He demands your submission not with his words,
but with his fingers: with the wheeze of your will
to live as it leaves.

And you do. Like you always will. For you know
that just as liberation is a form of control,
submission is its own power.

And just before your moment fades, you catch his eye;
that final instant is haunted by his furious love,
the adoring violence in his gaze.

It's over, and you wake to the strangle-gag of ghosts
to inhale the present. It fills you with sensation--
not feeling. You don't feel.

You can't.

Creating

I like creating
It's fascinating
Putting pen to paper
Putting paintbrush to canvas
My life is here today and gone tomorrow
And I have a deep need to express it

A silly song corrects all that is wrong
Shaking your hips can give you momentary bliss
Kiss your image in the mirror
And laugh with strangers
Live as much life as you can
And don't hold yourself back

Express yourself
Being who you are is something you will never regret.
When it's your turn to love, even when you know that hearts break
you'll let them fall because that's what it is... a probability, sometimes
it works but sometimes it doesn't, that should not stop you though
embrace it if it's your turn to fall, sometimes it's from our hardest fall
that we find the forever we always fantasised... so fall, fall
when your heart says you should take the leap, fall when it feels right
fall when you see the abyss you trust can hold you in a cyclone of affection
fall when the voice in your head keeps poking you to stop holding back...
Hearts break, but they are the only apparatus that works even when it's
broken, so embrace your turn to fall, fall for those your soul does embrace
after all they say we lose more holding dammed our passions
than we risk losing entrusting the pearl of our hearts with those we love...
