For you, misunderstanding is a game of hide and seek.
For me, it is a play of trauma and regret.
If you don't see yourself in my eyes, they aren't yours.
One life
Too far
One hope
Too late
After death,
In this world
A landlord will leave his property,
A thief will leave his stress,
A sinner leaves his sins,
A loved one would leave his wonderful memories,
A pure one leaves his respect,
And an artist leaves his art
Unsure as to why that is
it unravels itself openly
unreels, uncoils, unfolds
even spills itself further
into this shallow dish
foolishly as always
and impetuous
not careful
or measured
just emptied
out
Now, here's the thing
so you already know that pill is bitter
so don't place it on your tongue
and then drink to swallow it
that just leaves its bitter taste on your tongue
what you do is
first sip the drink and pool it in your mouth
then pop in the bitter pill
and swallow as quick as you can
the pill goes down leaving no after taste
no memory no presence on your tongue or mind
no concept of bitterness to haunt you
you hear its name or even see the pill a million times
no bitter memory is triggered
for from the get go
you had been wise with how you deal with bitter pills
and when you see or hear about that pill
its just a pill like any other pill
it moves you in no way
it has no power to haunt your emotions
your taste or distaste
A paucity of creativity
Brings on a lack of productivity
Which causes incivility
That leads me to mendacity.

A paltry entry into BLTs Merriam Webster's Word of the Day challenge.
Be so focused on your goals that you don't even have the time to compare yourself with others.
When one thousand years has passed us by,
I hope mother earth is still beautiful
And there's fruit trees and grass so green,
And fresh air to breathe that's clean

There's animals alive of every variety,
fireflies, ladybugs, and honeybees
I hope there's an amazing blue sky,
with songbirds together flying so high

And I hope most of all flowers still grow,
and there's a winter with falling snow
