I have a garden
Full of words
That thrive
On suffering,
Flowers blooming
In my pain
Sprouting with
Each new wound

I wander in
To water them,
Eyes filled with
Melancholy,
And reap fresh tears
To quench their thirst
That they might
Grow for me

So when they've
Blossomed fire bright
As my agony
Worsens,
I organize them
Neatly
Into stanzas,
Lines and verses.

Sometimes I get to talk to you,
to listen to your voice and see your face.
but not to touch

I don't mind, not too much.

It's when you have to say goodbye,
when the last 'I love you' rings in my ears,
when I feel the grief

It steals my new found joy like a nimble thief

I hadn't even noticed it was gone,
but in one swift moment the emptiness crushes me
and I just feel.....wrong

We were both remarkable when I first saw you
Standing on the busy streets of Seoul.
I wake up, and the flashback starts:
Incheon is where I'm standing in the spring air.

What are you doing crying standing alone?
You who wears that bright white robe,
That shiny pink hat of cherry blossoms,
Dreaming about the day when I wake up and find
That what I'm looking for has been in front of you all along.

So this is me singing,
Standing in front of you saying, "Take me back home!"
And I go back to springtime in my dreams all the time.
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but dreaming deeply,
Wishing, I'd realized you are not a ghost.

I'd go back to past springs in my dreams,
Turn around and do some flying to a calm place.
I go back to springtime dreams quite often.

My dearest, let's do some dancing,
This love is pink and white,
It's a love story of a place where a beautiful woman lives,
Dearest, just be my cute little kitten.

Just snuggling bravely, forever.
Take me back home dearest, Take me back home my love.

I am 14.6 billion years old. I am energy traveling at the speed of light,
I am a single proton with one orbiting electron, perfectly balanced
With quarks and bosons and higgs inside
And pieces of matter yet to be understood by man.
I am every star, every atom of Hydrogen fused to Helium.
I am a massive object of molten rock, cooling and fusing.
I am trilobite knee and dinosaur tooth,
Wooly mammoth hair fiber.
I am Permian Extinction, I am Ice Age, I am all surviving species.
I am most distant brothers of man, I am first language and first songs.
I am Bubonic Plague and Death
And life out of new molecules from old.
I am the Industrial Revolution,
I am Depression and Holocaust and oppression.
I am titanium and assembly line.
I am Perseid meteor shower and Halley ’s Comet.
I am every black hole,
Inside, another whole universe of me.

I am seconds young, and I have much to learn of
The multitudes of the universe, myself.

Ezra the Poet
my mother used to drink
she never
talked
so much.

and during the passing of
poison to the
relevant wires
she spoke of how
great it was
to be alive
and that
most did not know this
fact.

she used to dance so wild
and free and unknowing in
her knowing of the freedom
of this
life like
the wilderness.
