the house next door makes me
sad.
both man and wife rise early and
go to work.
they arrive home in early evening.
they have a young boy and a girl.
by 9 p.m. all the lights in the house
are out.
the next morning both man and
wife rise early again and go to
work.
they return in early evening.
By 9 p.m. all the lights are
out.

the house next door makes me
sad.
the people are nice people, I
like them.

but I feel them drowning.
and I can't save them.

they are surviving.
they are not
homeless.

but the price is
terrible.

sometimes during the day
I will look at the house
and the house will look at
me
and the house will
weep, yes, it does, I
feel it.
the gap between your neck and shoulders
looks untouched
like the only flow of current that's touched
was the force of water from showers
the power increased to make you feel loved
that something could erase past mistakes
but honey
I'm here, waiting
Waiting for you to see what truly matters
and I'll continue to wait
my feelings for you constantly change
because nothing ever stays the same

let me touch the gap between your neck and shoulders
I could show you what honest love feels like.

Her eyes look like a mirror, mirrors to the soul
they spoke of things so very hard to share
some things that held within a stare
did anyone possess to fill her time
of reassignment so hard to bear.....

Yet somehow their tomorrows bloomed from there
with cracks that go far and wide ....

She heard the dreams with a smile
and a whisper yearning
for all the promised paths
she danced upon...

She shared her dreams with the stars that would light her day...

Remembering the garden of each song
each note played her melody she gazed upon
forever into his longing eyes the mirrors to her soul..

His eyes mirrored hers cracks and all
and then they seem to fade away....

A pathway made of letters
that reached their lives of love
that faced with a forever trust....

Eyes mirrored eyes,
felt love eyes that trusted
that saw too much,
that loved anyway.....*

here is the truth:

i am an insecure,
traumatized,
hopeless
child at times

a pure product
of my upbringing
and of years
living out a strong
hatred of self

i am evolving,
as we all are,
and i hope that
despite my
constant attempts
to push you
as far away
as humanly
possible,
that you stick
to me like
cement on
a sidewalk

because

you make me
want to be
the best
possible
version of
myself
It was a fire that froze me,
flames grazed a heart barely beating,
freezing me firm
from a core of embers, heat of great therm,

the standstill of a solid soul,
a final surge of a song shook
from a burning center
riddled with freezing scars; make my words slur

with drunken lips and a harsh breath.
Frozen by passion so intense
I sit by the ice,
Hoping the chill will be my body's vise.

So cold, so cold, the fire swept me
From the arms that held me so dear,
Maybe this iced glow
Melds a chilled, burnt heart, only God will know.

A fire. A fire, I say!
It iced my very bones solid,
His heat left me cold--
He was my sun, the only thing to hold.
I'm trying to write kind of paradox poetry. Please please please offer advise and/or tips; I love to learn more.

This is also the first draft, so expect changes :)
I can still remember your voice,
Fragmented as though refracted through a prism
I remember pressing delete on the last voicemail you ever sent me,
You called to thank me for the flowers,
You called me thoughtful, sweet,
You were tripping over your words with joy,
And I couldn't handle it after you left,
Because your voice reminds me of symphonies and plane crashes
And oh God, how it still echoes sometimes,
Like the sound of a child's laughter ringing across an abandoned playground,
Your voice resonated with the frequencies of my heart strings,
And now I fear it would only cause earthquakes
