Ignorance is no longer bliss
It is downright dangerous

Not understanding your fellow man
No more trying to do the best you can
Not learning the lay of the land
No time spent just trying to comprehend

Living life in an unmindful daze
Ignoring the signs of this extraordinary phase
Spending your time in an uninformed haze
Disregarding what is right in front of your gaze

So stop and spend time to discover
Just what hides behind every man's cover
To gather insight you might need to hover
Just stay the course and you'll eventually conquer

Once you stop neglecting the people you meet
Once you stop skipping by them in the street
Then you'll become aware that sharing is a treat
Then you'll go out of your way to make sure you greet

Being informed and mindful, that is bliss
Wanting to be you best and never feeling amiss

A Moment

Nida Mahmoed
A moment which take my breath away,
Her eyes were the blue,
Like a deep ocean, to force me’
To drawn,
Her hair a thick and glossy black,
An adoring hand,
To force to think to hold them’
Forever and ever,
Her face into a level of flawlessness,
That mesmerized the entire moment,
I’d been captivated by the look of her’
From the moment I first saw her,
And I still found my synapses frying’
At that moment.

Lunar
And you felt every moment of it. He arrived like the night, creeping up to you slowly, to take you into his arms, to embrace you, to tell you it's going to be calm and to tell you it's time to sleep. He shadowed over your figure in bed, he whispered in your ear, his breath like the night breeze touching your hair, his fingers like the moonlight lighting up your ****** features.

But you forgot some things about the night too. How his eyes darkened, how the night was supposed to make you feel scared and alone. How you felt him stand up from the bed, how he slipped right out of your hold, how you suddenly felt the lonely chill like it gets much colder as dawn draws nearer.

And the moment you opened your eyes to the light, you watched him go. He left like night, but your day wasn't bright. You squinted through the sunlight, to see him slowly fade away. It felt like you were on the poles of the earth, waiting for the moon to come around again, getting sick of the sun. It felt all so wrong, to be soaked in the sun but to feel the cold biting at your skin.

The night was all just a dream; the day is nothing but a reality. And to wake up to the exact second where the borderline of the night and day or dream and reality fades, this is how he left you.
from the moment you walked in
to the moment you walked out
i watched it all
everything and anything was happening
but there was nothing i could do
//
in exchange for the single time he might never enter my life and living without him, i  would rather die a million deaths by him leaving me. and if i'd have to die from him leaving me to live his life, then i can say i never really died-- i'll think of it as a part of me living on in him.
//
the reality of someone leaving you is a stark contrast from a dream where they were once yours

i see you painted in other peoples's eyes
i see you smiling in the blue irises
swimming ocean's deepest blues
crossing the horizon and touching the sky.

i see your picture in the green eyes
in spring's early grass i see you laughing
daydreaming,
playing with some hopes
the way you play with my thoughts.

i see your picture in the deep brown eyes
eating their chocolate
the way you sometimes eat my heart

in the black skies
i see you painted
there are no stars
just you wandering alone
looking for something
something i don't know..

i see you painted in blue and green
in brown and hazel and black
and i can only hope
one day you'll see your smile
painted in own blue eyes.

in the endless possibility of dream
we talk in the calmest of whispers
ever so close
I am burning within these shadows
brushing against her
echoed laughter
the smell of her hair
and the electricity of her skin
exceeds consciousness
the beauty of the dream is in it's clarity
of that which is born from the energy
of two

i will bottle the sound of rain
and fold it
deeply
into the quietest recesses
of that muscle
just below your breastbone,
and make it beat chartreuse
soft taps slithering wet yesyesyes's

I wonder if you think of me
The way I'm thinking of you right now
Staring at pictures of you and me
Smiling
At the camera
Or at each other
The way your eyes would lock on mine
And tell me
Without ever saying anything
I love you

I wonder if you look back
On old forgotten messages on your phone
Or if you deleted them
Just right after
You deleted me
From your heart
You would've found the first time
I confessed and said
You're special to me
And you replied with
I love you

I wonder if you still remember
The sound of my voice
Because I still remember yours
And I hear it every night
As clearly as if
You were still right beside me
Holding me tight
On nights when I had trouble sleeping
Whispering in my ear
I love you
And only you

Only you
Meant
Only you were wrong
Because you didn't
Love
Only me

Only now
I wonder if you ever loved
Only me
