blankets of moonlight smother smoke tendrils as we sit in silence. struggling for sentences that slip through our grasp. occasional glances that we hide away. a sway in the dark. a hark for some semblance of closeness.
Her head lies heavy across my chest both grasping for closeness her breath in rhythm with my breath both intimately silent her heart aches as mine aches both dreading the distance we are One masquerading as two in separation not yet noticing Life’s infinite unfolding we remain forever entangled; lost in Love’s dream of endlessly pursuing Itself in the other
Suspended sunlight shimmers inside silver ***** of magic ~ dancing blissfully under arms of naked branches their silent melody of movement pierce my eyes inflicting blissful movements inside
Who left you so broken that your eyes now cut deeper than the sharpest knife? We are left with such hatred weighed upon our hearts and all we can do is laugh.
Why do I long for home As if it was something Lost to me Out at sea Under the waves of oblivion.
Why do I feel empty And indifferent to it all.
I would like to lie In the suns gaze And shrug off myself Give my thoughts the slip Just for a moment A minute, an eternity.
Carry on without me I'll be here awhile And imagine I'm sat Under the sky I know So much better than this one The one with the brighter stars That I can reach And graze my fingertips across Remembering the burn of promise As if it was tingling still.
Home where are you now Have you flown somewhere far Where I cannot reach Without a guide Without some aid. Will I stay here on this island That is so Familiar but detached from me. When will I be ready To brave the storms For possibility For more than what I have made And chose to stay in.
The soil speaks your name On earthy tongue Rich and slow to move Like thick roots in Spring. The rain sings of you Splashing melodic notes Into murky puddles That stare up at constellations. The leaves whisper to you Rustling in amber, brown and gold As if you were a treasure Left from the days of Kings But it is the soil In it's dark enclosure That truly knows you And calls you home Oncemore.
