Pretty little wind-up doll
wound up in the wrong hands

Was going through the motions
for too long

Years of tinkering
with her gears

she springs out of control

Repairs include
conserving energy and
resting her joints to
revitalize connectivity

She will no longer
be entertaining in your
playpen

You broke her

This is the most expensive poem I will ever write
It cost more than you know to burn this bright
I’ll be using abstract character and archetypes
Bits and pieces of brilliant bright lights
You’ll get your monies worth
Of rhymes and rhythms
You’ll tell your family and friends a new muse has risen
Treasures will fill the coffers of your spirit’s journey
A golden key twisting within your heart eternally turning!!!

Now that you’ve been paid….
Keep the change and have a beautiful day!

a flying machine
constructing wings of
paper, oilsilk, wires, and feathers
faster than light
in all kinds of weather
Ada's going to fly

I just wanted to make you smile
Your eyes were sad
And your heart had a void
I wanted to fill you up
And give you the warmth
That I was searching for
But I ended up making you bleed
And I'm sorry
I just wanted to love you

i do not believe in god
but i do believe in poetry
and for me
maybe poetry is prayer
and the universe
is an unwavering ear
in the shape of a god

It’s always been my blue
Don’t you dare feel lured
I just fell in love with you
Knowing that you wouldn’t
