The compulsion of reality
Drives the spirit deep
Holding on to life and breath
Each challenge more unique

Sporadic the patterns of chaos
As the electrical sparks ignite
Less order in the cosmos'
And so I bid you fair good nigh
........

I am so close I can reach out and touch you
But I do not think I could make you stay
If you wanted me you would be
With me longer than just one day

I saw the way you looked at me
You were happy to see me again
Everything you did reminded me
Why I haven't looked at other men

Maybe this is temporary
Soon we won't have to be apart
Hope you plan on coming back to me
Instead of wasting my time and heart

If I could catch
And ride the night
What shadows would I leave
Upon an unsuspecting world
Of hungry heart's and thief's

If I were but a silhouette
Of envy hate and greed
I'd cast myself upon the rich
And let my darkness breathe

If I were but a devil
Burning in disguise
I would catch and pull the wool
Over every weary eye

But I am but a Poet
And I wish the world the best
Creatively curious
Giving every thought a test
.....

Control that which your powers allow
Let everything else go
The craft is only perfected
By the ability to let energy flow

Take a deep breath until
You can't hold it any longer
And as you finally release it
You’ll be gasping ever stronger

Trees fall, some burn
Some are diseased or infested with worms
Yet you are a tree rooted in your own beliefs
Never letting go of a single leaf

Concentrate on who you are
But meditate on who you desire to become
Knowing the power of reality
And the power of creation are one
