perhaps,
some people will never truly leave.
they'll always be inside of you,
crushing your bones
and
setting your very heart on fire
whilst their blood still courses through your veins
like kerosene.

There once was a man
Whose livelihood was rubber.
He worked long and hard; and wore a tan,
He was a plantation tapper.

One night he packed,
In haste after a long day of toil.
Quickly had his belongings all sacked
Under light from a lantern that reeked of kerosene oil.

He was ready, flame from the lantern he did ****.
Overhead, the midnight moon brightly shone.
Bound his sack to the rack above the rear wheel,
Mounted his bicycle and soon he was gone.

The dirt trail leading back,
Undulating with gravel all strewn.
Almost treacherous this forgotten track
He only relied on light from the moon.

The air was cool just like any other,
But something was different about this night.
Squinting ahead he spotted a figure.
Flagging him down was a lady in white...
To be continued...

Based on a story I heard.

i swear
the Universe
inside of us grew
as we danced along to
all the pain we once knew
I never dreamed of meeting someone like you.
You found me in the cold and gave me a home,
and now I
can't imagine my life without you.
You showed me the parts of the world
that no one has ever seen.
You helped me find the light
and now I
can survive these dark days because of you.

We danced with the stars
and lived off wishbones.
Swallowing stardust
and creating galaxies with our imagination.
Your love made my head spin faster than the planets.
Sweetheart, you have done so much
and now I
feel like one of the lucky ones.

Let us go fishing for stars
Let us swim with the cosmos
Lets everything

You drew an atlas on my hand
and connected the dots to the places where we plan to meet.
I love the shape of your lips
and how I can trace them so easily with mine
and now I
can finally feel comfortable when I say I love you
and mean it because I will love you until there is no till.
Until all the stars burst apart in front of us.
Until the universe stops spinning
Until the end.

Warm breezes in the night air
Whisper away every nightmare
Stars above in heaven's depths
Blink freely in the dark
Glowing with every promising spark
And during rest in dreams we see
The unreal and our thoughts are set free
To drift and live in sleep
And experience everything so deep
Sometimes waking, wishing you were still there
All that you can do is remember, and keep it near
Unearthly as it seems
Our souls are connected in dreams

I know three words of magic
That tell a beautiful truth.
He stared me in my eyes
Awaiting these words, three...
To flow from the wells of my soul
And spring through my lips, quivering.
He summoned the waves of sound
To carry them,
Unto his self-indulgent ears...
And drown them, in his unquestioning heart.
I know of three magic words
That make a humble truth.
They are but simple, albeit unknown.

“I don’t know”

Dust in the wind but I am
What rights have I to know?
Aren’t I a passenger in the dark,
A traveler of light?
What do I sincerely…know?
I am nothing into something.
I am something into nothing.
But I know just one thing.
And they are three magical words.
Humble and truthful.
I know. That I don’t know.

He…knew of three enchanting words
That made a handsome lie.
He longed to hear them, from me
These heavy words… boorishly abused.
But I am a lone traveler
I pay no heed to false knowledge
Nor have I time for ephemeral gratification.
All I could tell him was
“I don’t know”
But he valued his lie over my truth
And gasped at my last two words
Which were neither “love” nor “you”.
