Chasing shadows in the dark
Blinded by your words
Believing we had found a friend
Not trusting what we'd heard
Feelings plucked from deep inside
You use them for your game
A collection of the broken
Attracted to your flame
You can spot us at a distance
Our vulnerability your need
You draw us in with loving words
Begin to sow your seed
Ultimately in control
Is where you like to be
But some of us are wise to you
And will let the others see
That you're actually no friend of ours
You've a demon deep inside
And together we will crush you
There is no place left to hide

With the NSPCC I give w/shops in schools about ****** abuse - Online Grooming is a big issue - as a member of NAPAC I work with adult survivors & I'm shocked to find that Online Grooming of adult survivors also happens.
Being me I wrote this .....

Grooming My Dog

He said she was special...
He told her she was pretty too.
He wants to let go,
Of history and start anew.

But she can't see,
Through his screen,
Into his life,
And his thoughts unseen.

She was naive,
Young, and stupid,
Didn't understand,
The concept of grooming.

Now she has no trust,
In others or herself,
Because of that one man,
**Feeding off her health.

Internet grooming is a serious problem. Protect our youth today, and take a stand. Being a victim of internet grooming can lead to serious mental issues in young people

Beard Growing

I got sick of shaving
Every day
So I started growing a beard
For a while, it was technically stubble
But now it would make William T. Riker proud
Or at least smile and nod in approval
At the effort
I bought a beard trimmer at Walgreens
And I trimmed that *****
Made it nice and even
But it itches a lot
So I have to use dandruff shampoo on it when I can
I get compliments on it
From my mom and my brother
Whose beard should belong to a Canadian lumberjack
(Not my mom, my brother)

I love this beard
But I still get the urge to shave it completely
And return to baby-face
