We don’t need grand gestures to feel complete,
You kiss my forehead, I fall back to sleep.
You laugh at the way I burn all the toast,
But you still say, “You’re who I love most.”
We hold hands walking down quiet streets,
And talk about names for future kids.
It’s not perfect, but it’s our thing—
And the stars… they’ve seen everything.

They’ve watched the nights we stayed up late,
Dreaming about our wedding day.
They’ve seen us laugh, they’ve seen us cry,
But they still know we’ll be alright.
They’ve watched the way we kiss in the rain,
And how we let go of the pain.
They whispered, “This love is here to stay,”
And they twinkled brighter every day.

The stars know everything,
How you hold me close when the world feels too loud,
The way you smile when I’m lost in a crowd.
They twinkle soft when you say my name,
And I know it’s always been the same.
Yeah, the stars know everything,
How we dance in the quiet, hearts full of grace.
In every moment, in every embrace,
They shine brighter when we’re face to face.

We watch our favorite movies every Sunday night,
Eating pizza, laughing ‘til the morning light.
You make fun of the way I scream at the screen,
But I love how you’re right there, it’s a perfect scene.
We debate over which film we’ll choose,
But in the end, we always win, no matter the views.
It’s the little things that make me fall for you,
Like watching cheesy rom-coms ‘til we’re through.

They’ve seen the nights we stayed up long,
Talking ‘bout where we belong.
They’ve watched us laugh, they’ve watched us fall,
But they know we’ll rise through it all.
They’ve seen the way we kiss through the rain,
And how we turn our hurt into gain.
They whispered, “This love is here to stay,”
And they’ll guide us every step of the way.

When the world shatters and the night feels too long,
I’ll hold you close, where we both belong.
In the chaos, you’re my calm, my light,
You’re the only reason I’m still fighting this fight.
Every tear that falls, every heartache we bear,
I’ll carry it all, as long as you’re there.
You are my anchor, my breath, my fire,
Every moment with you takes me higher.
When the storm rages, we’ll stand through the rain,
I’ll love you louder, in spite of the pain.
We’ll build our world with every scar,
No matter how far, we’ll be who we are.
And in your eyes, I see my home,
With you, I’m never alone.

We are all planters and sowers
in this huge field...where seeds
of graces and blessings, as well
as trials and tribulations (i call
them weeds), are strewn in all
places...made to blend...to help
shape and strengthen our faith,
character, our emotional stamina...
all these seeds and weeds, paint
our earthly existence with bright
and darkened hues: blue, gray, black,
green...red, purple, yellow ochre, bronze,
and countless other colors of the universe.
it seems, we human beings are born with
coloring books, bearing our names..it's up
to us to paint them on canvas, or in words
...it's up to us, to bring light to our own
darkness, or,  to make them blacker than
a starless midnight......maybe an ebony
horizon to those blinded by stubborn beliefs...

truths that weren't perceptible then,
are much more visible and vivid now
i recall...when troubles piled up then,
i forgot to pause...to analyze,

i saw small alleys, when there were
wider streets...it didn't occur to me,
i must have the fortitude...to search...

i saw crowds, when there was much
space on this earth...failed to realize
that there were lessons to learn from
crowds, that i could create better space,
that these weeds also bring graces...

while looking at the atmosphere, my
eyes, my mind were totally eclipsed,
almost blinded...seeing only dismal skies,
when there could've been sunlight,
if i wanted to...within myself, or around
me...regardless, if it was stormy outside.

i could've created a gap from grief
i forgot that, light and dark take turns
...come what may.....they alternate...

much lessons and wisdom were gained
from younger days...........it is true...
we cannot change what we've started
yet, we can begin where we are right now
and create a different ending...

Earth days are a mix
moments may be dim...eclipsed,
rays are speared....ellipsed...

I looked for a good morning
under a sky that didn't feel right
the meteor showers can't end
just because night has
and daylight has broken
broken out
of the chrysanthemum cage
the starry starry night
had put in place
and when my good morning eclipsed
into a wilted noon
I decided to wait
wait out the day
and it slipped right by me
so I looked for a good night
and the night wasn't
as starry starry
as it had been before
but the meteors were still there
awaiting my delicate eyes
and when I saw the trail of fire
I knew I'd receive
a beautiful good morning.

i don't deserve the stars
in your eyes and the electricity in
your smiles. you are a
thousand watts, composed with
all the atoms that make
up me; you are the rays of sun in
my silver linings; and me?
i'm just the moon, caught in between
an eclipse of life and death.
