what powers you've given
this glowing moon to possess

O' crescent moon, O' half moon
O' Supermoon
O' moon of July of romance


This moon has an amazing attraction
And leaves me feeling
More than a little obsessed

When my momma left me alone
This frightened me so
I cried and cried

When I entered kindergarten
at age five

This traumatizing major event
changed my whole life
My mother I miss her so

Some dreams leave me filled with
wonder and adventure
Like packing only one piece of luggage
and saying "come with me, take my hand
Let's go away, get lost and chase our dreams
Let's go visit the Stars, just you and I
Let's go see the world"

Leaves change colors
Drop to earth
Snow on a mountain
Soon rebirth
And Life goes on
