Who am I
I am neither complete nor the finished article.
I'm a little moody when woken in the night.
I'm not a morning person.
I'm a father
I'm a brother
I'm a son
I'm an uncle
I'm a lover
I'm a companion
I'm a shoulder to cry on
I'm a fault finder
I'm a teacher and guide

I'm just an average man.

Soft-footed and delicate,
you tip toed your way into
my head last night.
Having scaled warm cheekbones
you pried apart my eyelashes;
teased apart my flickering eye lids.
Stepping under the soft pink canopy,
you found a nook.
Curling up, you pulled closed
wafer thin skin, to keep you safe;
to make sure that
even while dead to this world
you are all I see.

AP
in the coming months the frost will pass
leaving green blades visible and new formed dirt paths
daisies and orchids will rise beneath heaven's light
but you, the wallflower, will wilt like its still winter, crippled in dismal fright
the fear of remaining alone
the fear of not knowing when you will become like the proud flowers that stand vibrant and grown
but as spring turns to summer and the clouds disappear
the wind will pick up, and send another wallflower's pedals through the air
so poor wallflower, do not fret
your roots have the strength of 1000 roses
the kind of beauty that could be carved into statuette
you will survive when there is no rain
because you understand loneliness and unprecedented pain
so stay calm, oh wavering friend
water will still seep through your timid veins
and your brilliance will shine, even if its tangled in your inhibited chains
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!

Yours

your eyes
Your face
your touch
your body pressed up against mine
your lips caress mine
Your firm hands
press me
into the stone wall behind me
minutes feel like seconds
with all the emotion of hours.
I know this sounds
like a sappy love song
but that's how you make me feel
like i am flying
falling
pushed
pulled
relaxed
excited.
to be yours
for years to come
would be the single
greatest thing in my life.
I'd do anything for you
I love everything about you
this is what i try to convey
in the little things I do
a brush of the hand
a teasing nudge
a peck on the cheek
a far off gaze
a gentle smile
You do so much for me
and I try to
do the same
for you.
take my hand
and I'll take you for a ride
where we're strapped together
we'll love it
we'll hate it
and in the end
we'll want to do it again
Thanks for coming into my life.
to the one and only love of my life.
Eyes are closed,
Mind is at peace,
Hair is hanging loosely,
Covering my cheek.

Dreaming sweet dreams,
Not wanting to wake up,
Believing in such things,
That were just made up.

Once again,
Day breaks through,
Eyes begin to open,
And light shines through
