broken

I had someone tell me that you can't really be broken.
I wanted to call them a liar.
I have felt broken, haven't you?
You think and worry and turn into something else. You panic and attack yourself. You hate who you are. By now you have pretended so much that you don't know who you are anymore. Your thoughts change, your personality changes, you change. You will never go back to how you were.. It won't ever be the same.
I don't know about you, but I classify that as broken.
You can be fixed, you just won't ever be the way you were before.
I want to know your mother's maiden name and
The feel of my palms on your skin
And the taste of you
And know what your breaths against the back of my neck are.
I want your hand in my hand and to know the length that you prefer your fingernails at
I want
I want
I want.
I want to know what your eyelids feel like against your eyeballs and
How the blood in your heart works, feel it through your skin
I want to know every person you have ever touched
And their faces,
And the way your skin feels on their skin,
That friend of a friend that you shook hands with ten years ago in a Tuesday morning in September an it was cold out, so you were wearing fingerless gloves, and they'd forgotten their gloves on a bus three days ago and so their hands were bare and your fingertips just brushed their wrist -
I want that.
I want you in the morning, at the kitchen table, sleep-missed an bleary-eyed
And I want to know what you eat for breakfast and if you love bacon
Or if you're not that bothered
And I want to know
Who you were with last New Years
And the New Years before that
And every present you've ever received for Christmas
And every person you've kissed.
I want you to know my thoughts
And I want to know yours
And I want you.
Channeling an odd muse today.......... lil creepy, I think.
Did it ever occur to you,
That energy is never destroyed, only conserved,
Transferred and passed down,
Turning into heat,
So that after you're gone,
And the bed is empty,
I can still feel the pressure of it
All of it is still here, clinging to my aching bones
How do I repair my broken heart
Where do I begin
Where do I start
Jagged little pieces, from a jigsaw puzzle
Lost forever, never to be found
Scattered like a mosaic, covering the ground
How did this happen
I fell in love one more time
Now my heart is broken
Never again will it shine
In these rapid, restless shadows,
  Once I walked at eventide,
When a gentle, silent maiden,
  Walked in beauty at my side.
She alone there walked beside me
All in beauty, like a bride.

Pallidly the moon was shining
  On the dewy meadows nigh;
On the silvery, silent rivers,
  On the mountains far and high,—
On the ocean’s star-lit waters,
  Where the winds a-weary die.

Slowly, silently we wandered
  From the open cottage door,
Underneath the elm’s long branches
  To the pavement bending o’er;
Underneath the mossy willow
  And the dying sycamore.

With the myriad stars in beauty
  All bedight, the heavens were seen,
Radiant hopes were bright around me,
  Like the light of stars serene;
Like the mellow midnight splendor
  Of the Night’s irradiate queen.

Audibly the elm-leaves whispered
  Peaceful, pleasant melodies,
Like the distant murmured music
  Of unquiet, lovely seas;
While the winds were hushed in slumber
  In the fragrant flowers and trees.

Wondrous and unwonted beauty
  Still adorning all did seem,
While I told my love in fables
  ’Neath the willows by the stream;
Would the heart have kept unspoken
  Love that was its rarest dream!

Instantly away we wandered
  In the shadowy twilight tide,
She, the silent, scornful maiden,
  Walking calmly at my side,
With a step serene and stately,
  All in beauty, all in pride.

Vacantly I walked beside her.
  On the earth mine eyes were cast;
Swift and keen there came unto me
  Bitter memories of the past—
On me, like the rain in Autumn
  On the dead leaves, cold and fast.

Underneath the elms we parted,
  By the lowly cottage door;
One brief word alone was uttered—
  Never on our lips before;
And away I walked forlornly,
Broken-hearted evermore.

Slowly, silently I loitered,
  Homeward, in the night, alone;
Sudden anguish bound my spirit,
  That my youth had never known;
Wild unrest, like that which cometh
  When the Night’s first dream hath flown.

Now, to me the elm-leaves whisper
  Mad, discordant melodies,
And keen melodies like shadows
  Haunt the moaning willow trees,
And the sycamores with laughter
  Mock me in the nightly breeze.

Sad and pale the Autumn moonlight
  Through the sighing foliage streams;
And each morning, midnight shadow,
  Shadow of my sorrow seems;
Strive, O heart, forget thine idol!
  And, O soul, forget thy dreams!

I never want to stop talking to you,
You make my skies a little more blue.
I can feel my heart stop when you cry,
Which lets me know inside that I'm alive.

So tell me dear, am I everything you want?
I know that everyone has their faults..
But have you decided to look beyond mine?
Can you see the love shielded behind my eyes?

I hope you somehow can.
I admire you from this land.
And I can't begin to decipher-
My feelings for you.

So just shut up and say you love me too.

They flicker, bright lights
Yellow, not gold
Bigger than mine, your hands
You're a monster
I am starting to shatter
My palms feel the snow

I open my eyes to snow
Burning lights
Everything.. Shatter
I'm made of gold
I live with a monster
We hold hands

Mine are smaller, frail hands
Laying in the snow
We turn into a monster
No more lights
No more gold
Now shatter

You shatter
They break, our hands
I paint you gold
Transforming the snow
Under the lights
I'm not a monster

And yet, I am a monster
I thrive on the shatter
Hide from lights
Scratch with fearsome hands
Pad through the snow
Turn things to gold

It consumes everything, gold
Greed is the true monster
There's no longer snow
It's melted, we shatter
The bones have broken in my hands
Turn off the lights

You're gold
I'm the monster
Let it snow

Life is a confusing ring,
It always provides a wing.
Life is a long path,
Cannot overcome it by wrath.
Life is a song,
Sing it along.

Life is a tiny seed,
Sometimes planted with greed.
Life is an old tree,
Lets you grow with experience if you agree.
Life is a tiring battle,
Cannot win it without a little rattle.

Life is a game of chess,
It surely is a mess.
Life is love,
Like a pure white dove.
Life is a continuous tune,
Like the light of the moon.

Life is a set of stairs,
Remember it in your prayers.
Life is a lot of torn pages,
Learning it might take ages.
Life is not as it is portrayed,
At times it makes you feel completely betrayed.

But above all life is a beautiful journey,
It surely is a bit thorny.
Cause when it comes to the end,
It leaves you memories you could never apprehend.......
Cherish every moment that life has to offer you..... They are very precious................
