Behind your screen
we all come clean
(well, most of us anyway)

A confessional of sorts
you've seen all the scars and warts
(well, most of them anyhow)

We sing for you
we get in such a lather too
(is that why we sometimes find
you on the floor?)
Knickknack challenge by Elizabeth Leone Laird and Whit Howland.
I took my girlfriend
for breakfast at Ruby Tuesday,
We both had waffles
and I felt a sense of
Satisfaction from the sublime
maple syrup.  On our way out
the waitress said, don't be
a stranger, I Miss You.
At the time, me and the
old lady were homeless,
it began to rain, she
cried and said, please baby
Gimme Shelter.
Don't worry, I said,
I'm gonna come to
your Emotional Rescue.
She cried even harder,
and I said, Angie I know
it *****, but You Cant Always
Get What You Want.

Truth be told, we're just
Tumbling Dice.
But we're Happy.
And through her tears, she smiled
and said, you will always be
Under my Thumb~
Here is another offering for BLT's band Challenge.  The band is of course The Rolling Stones.
Eternal sunset
not quite night
no longer day

Is this how life shall stay?

Orange to red
then pink to gray
the outside elements have gone away

There's a closed sign on tomorrow

Hours continuously rotate
around what's breaking
be it the news or someone's will

In a room full of men
Of brawny size
Winning smiles
And confident eyes

If they all had wit
And clever charm
Were gentlemen
Who’d offer a girl their arm

And if they were all
Impeccably dressed
Suits and ties
Their formal best

Intelligent
With a high IQ
In a room full of men like that
I’d still look for you
No else compares to you.
