Die
Perish
Cease to exist in this world anymore
Everyday it is the same
It is the same everyday
Blocking and stabbing
Perishing and dying
What's the difference
What's the point
To discover who you really are
Well I could of answered that without this civil war
You're a monster
A pleague that infest this once peaceful land
A mere insect destined to die like the rest
Screaming at the top of its lung
But to the rest of the world you are mute
You are nothing
Another soldier fighting for "the cause"
What cause,peace
Since when has peace come from violence
From violence only more violence come from it
That's just how the world works
It cannot look the other way just because you have ambition
The world is a cruel place
But it's only a cycle made up many smaller cycles
Therefore we are just pawns in something bigger than us
Something that we just can't comprehend quite yet
The only thing we can do right now is play our role
As we continue to hope to change the world

Q May 2015
Build this structure block by block
He was intriguing, infinitely appealing,
Building his way to the quiet peace of the top.

Build this city block by block
He was outspokenly subdued, a mystery to grip to
A tower, a steady force, a rock.

Build this utopia block by block
He was terrific, immaculately deific,
Captivating in the only way humans are not.

Build this Elysium block by block
Oh, I think you know him not, I think you may be all talk,
These palace gates will ever remain locked.

Build this friendship block by block
Oh, I think I know him not, oh I know I can't run nor walk,
But I am certain I want to be caught.

That one decision could inspire hope,
I never thought, I never knew; I hadn't the slightest clue,
This is what saved me; how I cope.

I'll build this life block by block
Thank you, I was on the edge, I was through,
Block by simple block until time finally stops.
I'd like to say I don't know what inspired this as the people in mind aren't going to see this ever (provided I get my way); however, I do, therefore:
Thank you so much for all you've done without even realizing you did anything at all. This is why I'll get the chance to turn eighteen.

Block Me (I Don't Think That you Get How All That Made me Feel About Myself)

We met online
We joked about all the crazy people
The ones you block
Like the girl who wanted to wear my wedding ring
And got her son to give me a ring
Before I'd even met her
Like the girl who turned up in the night on my block
Like the guys who send you all the pictures of their ****

But they're crazy people.
Not like us
We aren't the type you block

We met
We kissed
We did more than kiss
I got to know you
I won't block you
If you won't block me

We both had big issues going on
You said it was hard
But you liked me
I said I understood
I was going through the same
"Yeah, but not like me,
My ex just blocked me out"
"I understand, I've been hurt too
She was a bit like you
But she blocked me out
But I'll support you
Just don't block me too"

I said I was fragile.
I said I'd been hurt - I'd been round the block
I said I needed people to show me understanding, even as a friend.
To show me they cared even when I fall apart.
I said it would happen, right from the start.

I was there for you
I know I was
Not like just a normal friend
I gave you my time
I gave you advice
I gave you my thoughts
I tried to give you my dreams - but I blocked them out instead

I want to let go.
I just can't.
But I don't want you to block me.
I don't want to be the crazy person.
Just don't block me.

I say "I'm hurting"
You hear "you hurt me"
I say "you don't get it"
You hear "you don't care"
I say "I want you to show me you care"
You hear "I need you to love me"
I say "it hurts being so close but not knowing how you feel"
You hear "I don't care what's going on in your life, you should want me anyway"
I say "I need to step away, you should block me"
I mean "I need you to tell me you care about me. I feel like I'm not good enough. I feel like I'm trapped in a revolving door, going round and round. I can't move forward because I care about you so much. I can't pull away because I'll miss you so much.
I can't suggest more because you'll pull away.
I can't suggest friends - I'm unhappy that way.
The only way out is to not see you
or to see you and hurt.
But I don't want you to love me.
I just want to know that you care.
That I matter.
That you're there.
When I need you.
And you aren't doing that.
And I'm hurting so much.
I want to handle it.
But I can't.
I don't want to make you hurt.
Only I need to hurt.
So block me."
So I run down this block,
Writers block.
And I see many things.
Nothing constructive.
I can't hear what it sings.
So I walk down this block,
Writers block.
There is a man carrying a sack,
I wonder what he has?
Possibly a snack?
So I trudge down this block,
Writers block.
With the thought of food in my brain.
I am so hungry,
In my stomach, a small pain.
So I linger down this block.
Writers block.
Food for thought.
My bellies full.
But still, I fought.
So I crawl down this block,
Writers block.
Trying to move past this.
Slowly but surely.
I feel almost amiss.
So I lay on this block,
Writers block.
Finally to the end.
I am exhausted.
Good bye my dear friend.
Ha I don't know.

“Discipline allows magic. To be a writer is to be the very best of assassins. You do not sit down and write every day to force the Muse to show up. You get into the habit of writing every day so that when she shows up, you have the maximum chance of catching her, bashing her on the head, and squeezing every last drop out of that *****.”
― Lili St. Crow

“What I try to do is write. I may write for two weeks ‘the cat sat on the mat, that is that, not a rat.’ And it might be just the most boring and awful stuff. But I try. When I’m writing, I write. And then it’s as if the muse is convinced that I’m serious and says, ‘Okay. Okay. I’ll come.’” — Maya Angelou

“Suggestions? Put it aside for a few days, or longer, do other things, try not to think about it. Then sit down and read it (printouts are best I find, but that’s just me) as if you’ve never seen it before. Start at the beginning. Scribble on the manuscript as you go if you see anything you want to change. And often, when you get to the end you’ll be both enthusiastic about it and know what the next few words are. And you do it all one word at a time.” — Neil Gaiman

“Meggie Folchart: Having writer's block? Maybe I can help.
Fenoglio: Oh yes, that's right. You want to be a writer, don't you?
Meggie Folchart: You say that as if it's a bad thing.
Fenoglio: Oh no, it's just a lonely thing. Sometimes the world you create on the page seems more friendly and alive than the world you actually live in.”
― David Lindsay-Abaire

“Now, what I’m thinking of is, people always saying “Well, what do we do about a sudden blockage in your writing? What if you have a blockage and you don’t know what to do about it?” Well, it’s obvious you’re doing the wrong thing, don’t you? In the middle of writing something you go blank and your mind says: “No, that’s it.” Ok. You’re being warned, aren’t you? Your subconscious is saying “I don’t like you anymore. You’re writing about things I don’t give a **** for.” You’re being political, or you’re being socially aware. You’re writing things that will benefit the world. To hell with that! I don’t write things to benefit the world. If it happens that they do, swell. I didn’t set out to do that. I set out to have a hell of a lot of fun.

I’ve never worked a day in my life. I’ve never worked a day in my life. The joy of writing has propelled me from day to day and year to year. I want you to envy me, my joy. Get out of here tonight and say: ‘Am I being joyful?’ And if you’ve got a writer’s block, you can cure it this evening by stopping whatever you’re writing and doing something else. You picked the wrong subject.” — Ray Bradbury at The Sixth Annual Writer’s Symposium by the Sea, 2001

“writing about a writer's block is better than not writing at all”
― Charles Bukowski, The Last Night of the Earth Poems

Biting my truant pen, beating myself for spite:
"Fool!" said my muse to me, "look in thy heart, and write.”
― Philip Sidney, Astrophel and Stella

And you do it all one word at a time.” — Neil Gaiman

“I encourage my students at times like these to get one page of anything written, three hundred words of memories or dreams or stream of consciousness on how much they hate writing — just for the hell of it, just to keep their fingers from becoming too arthritic, just because they have made a commitment to try to write three hundred words every day. Then, on bad days and weeks, let things go at that… Your unconscious can’t work when you are breathing down its neck. You’ll sit there going, ‘Are you done in there yet, are you done in there yet?’ But it is trying to tell you nicely, ‘Shut up and go away.'” — Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

“Now, what I’m thinking of is, people always saying “Well, what do we do about a sudden blockage in your writing? “The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.” — Mark Twain

“The best way is always to stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day … you will never be stuck. Always stop while you are going good and don’t think about it or worry about it until you start to write the next day. That way your subconscious will work on it all the time. But if you think about it consciously or worry about it you will **** it and your brain will be tired before you start.” — Ernest Hemingway

“Many years ago, I met John Steinbeck at a party in Sag Harbor, and told him that I had writer’s block. And he said something which I’ve always remembered, and which works. He said, “Pretend that you’re writing not to your editor or to an audience or to a readership, but to someone close, like your sister, or your mother, or someone that you like.” And at the time I was enamored of Jean Seberg, the actress, and I had to write an article about taking Marianne Moore to a baseball game, and I started it off, “Dear Jean . . . ,” and wrote this piece with some ease, I must say. And to my astonishment that’s the way it appeared in Harper’s Magazine. “Dear Jean . . .” Which surprised her, I think, and me, and very likely Marianne Moore.” — John Steinbeck by way of George Plimpton

“Over the years, I’ve found one rule. It is the only one I give on those occasions when I talk about writing. A simple rule. If you tell yourself you are going to be at your desk tomorrow, you are by that declaration asking your unconscious to prepare the material. You are, in effect, contracting to pick up such valuables at a given time. Count on me, you are saying to a few forces below: I will be there to write.” — Norman Mailer in The Spooky Art: Some Thoughts on Writing

“[When] the thoughts rise heavily and pass gummous through my pen… I never stand conferring with pen and ink one moment; for if a pinch of ***** or a stride or two across the room will not do the business for me — … I take a razor at once; and have tried the edge of it upon the palm of my hand, without further ceremony, except that of first lathering my beard, I shave it off, taking care that if I do leave hair, that it not be a grey one: this done, I change my shirt — put on a better coat — send for my last wig — put my topaz ring upon my finger; and in a word, dress myself from one end to the other of me, after my best fashion.” — Laurence Sterne

“I learned to produce whether I wanted to or not. It would be easy to say oh, I have writer’s block, oh, I have to wait for my muse. I don’t. Chain that muse to your desk and get the job done.” — Barbara Kingsolver

“Writer’s block…a lot of howling nonsense would be avoided if, in every sentence containing the word WRITER, that word was taken out and the word PLUMBER substituted; and the result examined for the sense it makes. Do plumbers get plumber’s block? What would you think of a plumber who used that as an excuse not to do any work that day?

The fact is that writing is hard work, and sometimes you don’t want to do it, and you can’t think of what to write next, and you’re fed up with the whole **** business. Do you think plumbers don’t feel like that about their work from time to time? Of course there will be days when the stuff is not flowing freely. What you do then is MAKE IT UP. I like the reply of the composer Shostakovich to a student who complained that he couldn’t find a theme for his second movement. “Never mind the theme! Just write the movement!” he said.

Writer’s block is a condition that affects amateurs and people who aren’t serious about writing. So is the opposite, namely inspiration, which amateurs are also very fond of. Putting it another way: a professional writer is someone who writes just as well when they’re not inspired as when they are.” — Philip Pullman
Really stop waiting for your muse. These quotes came from various sources, thus including:Books Taking Up Space In The Bookshelf,Journals, and of course The Internet.

Writer's block,
what a horrible thing.
I just want to **** it with a stick.

Writer's block,
is so despicable,
the very thought makes me sick.

Writer’s block,
just go away!
No one wants you - leave us be.

Writer’s block,
is that you again?
I thought I told you to get away from me.

Writer’s block,
UGH, I hate you.
Can’t you see where you’re not wanted?

Writer’s block,
yeah, I see you there.
You know I don’t enjoy being taunted.

Writer’s block,
leave me alone.
You’re getting on my last nerve.

Writer’s block,
I’ll strangle you.
It’s far more than you deserve.

Writer’s block,
what is it now?
No, I do NOT want you to stay.

Writer’s block,
I hate you.
Now won’t you PLEASE go away?

I’m trying to block it out. Really, I am. But I can feel it creeping in on me, wrapping around me and slowly suffocating me. This disabling sadness is crawling under my skin, leaving goosebumps behind.
I can’t take it…
I… can’t…

I’m trying to block it out. Really, I am. I’m just so tired of not being good enough, of wanting something else, of being powerless. I can’t stand it another day. I can’t stand to be a disappointment in everything I do and am. I can’t stand to be told I do everything wrong. I can’t stand to pretend another day.
I can’t take it…
I… can’t…

I’m trying to block it out. Really, I am. I don’t want to be ‘fine’ anymore. I don’t want to smile for the cameras, though they want me to be happy. They change their lenses to understand, but I don’t want them to see what I’ve fallen into. I can’t tell them the full story.
I can’t take it…
I… can’t…

I’m trying to block it out. Really, I am. But I’m so sick of it. I’m so sick of being sad, of being angry, of being confused, of being hurt. I’m so sick of it. I hate it. I hate it. I’m sick of myself, of not being who I want to be, of being too weak to stand up to myself, for myself.
I can’t take it…
I… can’t…

I’m trying to block it out. Really, I am. But I realized that blocking it out is not the answer. Blocking it out is the problem. When you block it out, you block everything out. You block everyone out. You block out the problem, and you block out the solution. Don’t block it out.
I can do this…
I… can…

Like BLOCKING Views ...
Or BLOCKING Those Who Raise Issues ...

Because One Day ...
You May Block Things That Benefit YOU ... !!!

So What's A Guy Supposed To Do ...
When People Try To BLOCK The Truth ... !?!

Especially From Our Wayward Youth ... ???

It Seems So Strange To Play These Games ...

Those Who BLOCK ...
Are Bound To ROT ...  !!!!!

And May End Up ...
Somewhere REAL HOT ... !!!!!

Devilish Moves Are Just NOT Shrewd ... !!!!!

Why Be Like THAT ... ?!?
These CLOSED DOOR Clans ...
Are NOT SO Nice ...
And Want To KEEP ...
The BIGGEST Slice ... !!!!!

They'll Pay The Price ...
For ... Blocking Plans ...
That They Devise ...
Cos' Moves They Make ...
Are ... Just NOT Wise ... !!!

Just Look At Jobs ...

Fools Who Block Tend To Get Knocked ...
And Move Themselves Into ... "TIGHT Spots" ... !!!!!

How Many Times Do People Find ... ?
That People Who Have Had Paths BLOCKED ...
Work Their Way Right To The TOP ... !!!!!!

While Those Who Try To Make Them Flop ...
Are BITTER Til' The Day They're BOXED ... !!!!!

Why Do They Try To HOG Top Spot ... ?

Egos Leave Them On The Rocks ... !!!!!
And YES You've Guessed They Eventually FLOP ... !!!!!!

And Doors They've BLOCKED ...
Become ... UNLOCKED .................................................................

Check Out Bruce Lee In The ... " Big Boss " ...

The STRONG Will Face A Fool Who Blocks ... !!!!!
And This Results In Loss of Blood And Similar Stuff ... !!!!!

DON'T ... Huff and Puff ...
And Make ... DUD Plots ... !!!

Those Who Block Get Double Crossed ... !!!!!
Some Oh Yes ... Will Call Your Bluff
And Make You Scream ...

... " I've had enough ! " ...

And Then Break Up ...
Your ... "Private Club" ... !!!

I'd Rather Shake Hands ...
And Enter Into ... " Conversations " ....
To ... BUILD On Blocks And STRENGTHEN Plots ... !!!!!

Those Who Block Should ... Take A Sec ...
STOP And CHECK How Corporations Cash BIG Cheques ... !!!

They MERGE To Get Those Big RETURNS ... !!!
And Build STRONG Herds So They DON'T BURN ... !!!

Those Are Words From Which TO LEARN ...

To Now Exist ...
We NEED To Study ...

.... " Capitalists " .... !!!

And Then RESIST Dumb Ego Trips ... !!!
Words Like This Leave Folks Equipped ...
To Do What's Right And YES ... UNITE ... !!!!!!

Black And White And Asian Types ...
Need To BLOCK Our STUPID Fights ... !!!

UNITY HELPS ... Humanity ... !!!!!

While This Word GREED Leaves Some To BLEED ... !!!
And That's Something ... People DON'T NEED ... !!!!!!

See ...
EVEN Those In Poetry ...
Seem ... KEEN To BLOCK ...
A Man Like  Me ... ?!?

I Guess That's Cos' My Poetry Is So DEADLY ...
And Because Of Course I'm So SCARY ... !!!

I Figure That's What Racists See ... ???
Why Harbour Such Hypocrisy ....

We're Here To Share Our Views FREELY ........................................

But Some It Seems Are Blocking FIENDS ... !?!
Who ... DON'T Believe In Building Teams ...

They Believe In CONTROLLED Speech ...
And CLEARLY Are The ... " Bourgeoisie " ... !!!

They Normally Preach ...
And Sadly Now Too Many Teach ... !!!!!

No Wonder Kids ...
Prefer The Streets ...

The Youth Now NEED REALITY ...
Cos Many Face BRUTALITY .... !!!!!!

That's Something ...
We NEED TO BLOCK ... !!!!!

Cos' Time Ticks On .........................

Sep... ar ... ation

NEEDS To ... " STOP " ... !!!!!
And Then Death Tolls ...
Might FINALLY ... drop ...

I'd Rather Connect Than DISRESPECT ... !!!!!!!!!

BLOCKERS NEED TO OPEN UP ...
And Reject ... " LESS " ... !!!!!!

And Let Their Egos ...
... Take A Rest ... !!!

I Guess My Words May Make Them Vex ... !?!
Because My Views Are SO Direct ... !!!!!
And DON'T Protect Their ... "SECRET Sect" ... !!!

But When I See The Way They Be ...
It Makes Me Write THIS Poetry ... !!!!

I'll Say It AGAIN ... !!!!!!

BUILDING Teams And  UNITY ...
Will Help To Make That CASH MONEY ... !!!

And Help To Feed ...
The Young Who NEED ...
To See Grown People Who AGREE ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So They Can LEARN To STOP The ROT ... !!!!!

And BUILD For EACH OTHER ...
............ NOT Plot To ............

Writers block
A binding curse
The worst agony
A poet feels
As they take a seat
To make something new

But the ideas aren't new
No, there's a block
And you melt in your seat
The return of the curse
The return of the agony
They know how it feels

And it feels like agony
But that isn't new
How everyone feels
Surmounting the block
Defeating the curse
Fighting in your seat

And in your seat
Enduring the agony
Write, rewrite, read, curse
And repeat, nothing new
Just the block
That everyone feels

And everyone feels
Frustration's seat
Seat on the block
The block of agony
The block of un-new
The block, the curse

Curse...curse
A curse everyone feels...
A curse that's not new...
A curse in your seat...
A curse that's agony...
A curse...writer's block!

That's it!
Simply written
When nothing is!
I really wanted to get a good sestina down. I wrestled with this form of poetry...it's a real challenge to write for me. It needs help!!!
