the first time we touched in the rain you slipped away
because my fingers were slick with the water falling fro
m somewhere above our heads. the youth we had was
unreal due to the cigarettes we smoked and the late nig
hts we spent together as if we didn't have a bed time. w
hy don't we touch anymore? why have our meetings b
ecome so s p a c e d o u t ? you left me in the rain, in a pu
ddle of the tears we cried together, in a river of sweat we
poured, in a monsoon of memories that we made. I was
indeed your only love child, your only youthful anchor,
so now you have grown old and I can no longer see you.

it is that time of night where the second, minute, and hour hand are kissing, like we would be if you were here.
wish you were here, love.

In our hurry to disgrace the next generation
we often forget that we were once of their age
and we were once as driven
and as determined
to live in a better world.

ForGIVEness

Life is too short for this.
I have never found a good enough reason,
A deep enough betrayal,
A hideous enough flaw
To condemn someone I love.
Life
Is too
Short,
And I can try all I want to stay angry
But all I can think is if someday I read their obituary in the newspaper,
Will the days,
Months,
Years I lost to silence
To grudges
To misunderstanding
To judgement
Be worth the feeling of that moment?
Will whatever made me hate them have any meaning in the face of oblivion?
And the answer is always no.
And the answer is always forgiveness.
And I wish they gave me the same gift.

Drowning

there are two types of sadness

there's the kind that i can't bare
so i watch friends
and listen to happy music
and find someone to talk to

then there's the other one
when you know you're sad
but you want to isolate yourself
and just
drown
in the pool of emotions
listen to sad music
read quotes about life
and
basically
just feel empty
