Are people separated
by bodies?
Boundaries where one person
should end,
That's like saying
this square inch of the sky,
Is where my line of sight
shall extend.

How can I ask you
not to spill
Parts of your thoughts
into my mind,
Can I open the faucet
at the end of the day,
And the warm water will clean
the blues left behind..

Do the muscles of a heart
carry the weight of one?
Separating the troubles
in terms of origin,
Those I'll feel less,
those I'll feel more,
And today no one
shall make it past the doormen..!

I don't think we could
dissect,
The parts of us that intrude
past the physical lines,
Or close the shutters
to a strong wind,
In an aim to keep our
happy currents confined.

Where does one person
end?
How can people turn their backs
when the sky gets dark,
I'm balancing too many
fragments of people,
And the world is dispersed,
I don't know how far I can walk.*

You told me I was
Your one and only
In a heaven full of stars
I was your only moon
But maybe
You were talking about
Jupiter
Cause I am only one
Of your many moons*

Within me dwells a scarred, broken heart
so full of love I can’t express
imprisoned within such loneliness
awaiting words that go unspoken
from someone who finds beauty there
despite my mess
and how I obsess
between company and solitude
and how I am so broken…

Someone who knows the secrecies
behind my eyes and smiles
for they’ve faced the same dark trials
losing more than ever won
trying hard to carry on
despite those who would revile
all while trying to reconcile
who we were
and have become…

Someone longing for another
who accepts them just the same
finding beauty in our pain
for we both admire scars…

Someone who loves the same as I…

Someone the thought of me haunts for days
for you already haunt my every day…

How I wonder where you are
an idea.

the work continues. red thread and all that abounds there.

much of the time is spent with this or other things which pass the day nicely.

linen threads hang heavy, needles preserved. small holes ready. shall we mend the rags,

or pin them ?

remnants remain, hiding. working faster with out all those words, those images . bare bones of the fact

corrupted items  turn with dust.

stitch and stitch by hand till fingers bleed. work along the coast with thread and diligence.

When the mind goes
about shutting
The doors left
Open by the careless heart,

Life muffles down
In the fog of memories
Comforted by the humdrum
Freed from the need to react

But it isn’t long
Before the heart awakens,
Looks around, and decides to teach
The mind a lesson

By opening a few windows
To let in the breeze
That will eventually
Knock open a few doors too.
Running away from her feelings
Don't want no hurt
Don't want inspiration
They only subvert
Her poor fragile heart
She gives her all
Gets smithereens in return
Don't want no broken dreams
Don't want empty hopes
Don't want those sleepless nights
It's a periscope
Couldn't see it before
Now she knows
She's a shell of the old her
No signs of reverting
Built walls around her heart so high,
The heavens are confronting
It's comforting
This deserting
Feeling of the heart
No one's gonna break me
She says asserting
No one's gonna hurt me
Her lips reverberating
Eyes full of misery
Her loneliness shines through
Captivating silver eyes
Moist with morning dew
Or are those tears?
Taking a hue
Of molten silver
Or the dark stormy nights
They've witnessed all along
When they all eschewed
When they all ran away
Well, adieu
They don't deserve her anyway
Don't deserve her beautiful soul
Don't deserve her unconditional love
Or the compassion she holds
Her blinding bright smile
Or the twinkle of her eyes
The softness of her lips
She exists to mesmerize
So, adieu
Because she's a fighter
An igniter
Of the passion he holds
Adieu
He says thankyou
Because she's a queen
And all his to love
Oh if you only knew.

~S.L.
Eyes fixated on the skies
Watching a star
Dancing to a tune
Such an enthralling dance
Oh she's coquetting with the moon
Illuminating the heavens
Lighting up the skies
Like a diamond delicately strewn
So ethereal
She jumps and twirls
Like a dainty ballerina
So out of this world
But she's got to hurry up
The sun is on its way
There will be no let up
End this amorous array
To discouple this heavenly tryst
Just like yesterday
When she tried to persist
And the days before that
But baby you can't twist
These legislations
Go get all miffed
Just like yesterday
When you tried to desist
And the days before that
You catchin' my drift?
Eyes heavy with slumber
Vision covered in mist
I sleep to the sight of a blazing sky
To the sight of a passionate rift
Dreaming about this celestial pair
They danced and hugged and kissed

-S.Layaan.
All the angels are asleep,
Their shadow selves on the earth open their third eyes,
In the hypnotizing light of the moon,
You must learn to tiptoe between carefully crafted lies.

And in the scarce everglow
Of informality, we sail past a once safe territory,
Trying to impose a new way of survival,
Guided by a thin rope of our frail telepathy.

On islands doomed with demons' names,
We maneuver our demeanors on the peripheries of black holes,
One slip of a condemned tongue,
Is all it shall take to elicit an inevitable fall.

Don't fall for the horizon in view,
And never concede to promises made by Time,
The angels could never wake,
And then you'd forever tiptoe in this infernal night.*

I am going insane.
Oh wait, I already am.
I see the demons already,
I see the floods.
At least I don't see,
crimson blood.
