Why are many great poets tortured and tormented?
I'm only distorted by the pain many poets feel.
I'll never be a great poet, thank God!
But, poets, I love your words.
I love you.
Please find a way to love yoursevles!
I weep for the pain you feel.
If I could make you smile,
I would be a happy, average at best, poet.

You are lovely in you own way
Special as the month of October
I know you don't eat hay
And you are not bothering me today
Let's have lunch. I'll let you pay.
Amanda Nicole's Poetry Challege 2: writ a 5 line poem to the last person you texted. It was my mother-in-law.
I was just being silly. I love my m-in-law.

Chuck it out the window
Hide it
Under the seat
Change the cd before we're caught
Kicking it to Milli Vanilli

My New Found Fashion Trend

You know I never really understood
How they wear their pants that way
Pull them down to their knees
And walk around all day

But they say it is the fashion
It's a new trend I should try
That underwear is very cool
And catches peoples eyes

So I decided I should try it
I pulled my pants down way too far
Then to show the world how hip I was
I walked through Central Park

All the children were excited
I saw them point my way
They even told their teacher
But she made them look the other way

Well then two cop's they came running
I assumed to see my style
I thought my trend was catching on
But the cop's they didn't smile

Those cops they'd start a new trend
One I didnt like as much
They put my hands behind my back
And slapped on silver cuffs

Now this jail cell seems so small
With this big man next to me
He says he'll be my best friend
And that he likes just what he sees

So glad to see the courtroom
Filled with people from the streets
But they say rethink your fashion trend
If you're wearing a G-String

Now the judge he was not happy
But he did not give me time
He said wear a G-String where you want
No one can take that right

You see the Judge he wore a G-String
Underneath his long black robe
He did not find me guilty
So a free man I could go

So I walked outside of the courtroom
As a free man once again
And became so very famous
For my new found Fashion Trend

Blue eyes, blonde hair, red lips, intense stare,
self doubt, dark soul, your eyes bore a hole,
hard kiss, quick ****, over fast, no luck,

leaving now, going home, so cold, so alone,
shiver shake earthquake, so unreal, so fake,
tears trickle down my face, so slow, quicken pace,
still there on the brink, another drug, another drink,
block you out, so numb, want to hide, want to run,

Far away, leave it all, the more i think, the more i fall,
Shut my mind, shut you out, feeling sick, full of doubt,
Too hard, you’re always there, look at you, try not to stare,
Fake smile, cold hello, nervous laugh, hard swallow,
little hope drains away, another moment, another day,

Time goes on, hope it heals, because I hate how it feels,
But for now, I crave your touch, I want you now, miss you so much.

MITCHELL
A sunny place for shady people.
We don’t ask the questions we want to ask
out of fear of the answer,
or of the lie.

“Would you miss me if I went away?”
“How much do you love me?”
“Would you visit my grave?”

“ And If I died,
would you cry?”
And as I lie in bed,
Staring at the ceiling above me,
The rise and fall of my chest
Reminding me that I am alive,
Listening to the rain,
Landing on the roof,
The sky assures me that
There is nothing wrong
With having a good cry.
lonely nights and a steady rain
We danced across the roof of the sky,
with the lightning flashing by
we laughed and held each other tight.
It was just another night in Monterey.

And dashing from one bolt to the next one
the dance carried on 'til the break of day,
when we set aside the morning light.
Then held each other tight once more,
stepped up to the door of dawn
and opened wide the seals.
This ,
the reason why we're born to dance with thunder
and split apart
the gentleness of the aching heart.
To
step inside the eagerness of why we hide
and slide down rainbows,
twinkling toes and stars that shine are yours ,
be mine.

Time slips down along with rain
and what hurt once, does so no longer
and while the storm we carry gets much stronger
we become
serene,
moving,dancing in our dream
and amid the streams of crashing life that smash upon the shore
we open once again the door
and are born once more into the
dance we make.
Still cloud, moving sun,
She was with me when I woke,
Dream within a dream.
