I saw someone I knew from high school
as I was walking into the bar.
He was doing shots with some other guy
in a corner booth on the other end of the room.
so I strode over and made myself at home
showing them both how to really drink.

Then I recognized a few of the girls they were with,
well one in particular, and that was all that mattered.
The instant I recognized her I knew it was a dream.
I knew that it couldn't be real.
She was pretty, but I didn't talk to her right away,
I had my fair share of ***** until everyone wanted
to take the party back to someone's house.

I saw her glancing my way,
and vaguely realized I was making her glance.
Making her steal quick looks at me among the crowd.
Making her smile at me.

When I convinced myself of this I walked over to her
and made nonsensical small talk as we walked out of the party.

She took me to her apartment, filled with cats.

She started to cry, inexplicably, and I folded her up into my arms.

And I flew us into the sky, slowly floating between buildings and trees.

"Why does this have to be a dream?" She whispered in my ear.
And I chuckled quietly.

Because I knew it was actually me saying it.
**** dreams

The madness comes,
The sadness stays.
The reckless drawings of the madman in the slums...
Crazy for all his days.

He does the dance;
The moonlight prance.
His crown made of thorns,
Through his hair pokes his horns.
Satan is his name.
But we're all the same.
You and me.
Satan is here.
Satan is near.
He is I and You are him...

Ship off the evil barge,
The thoughts are still at large.
Disband the acts,
Listen to the facts.
Despite your constant upheaval....
We are all evil.

I befriended you and thought that maybe
it would be a cute little
friendship.

I didn't know that I would like you,
I can't foresee things like that.
But you apparently think I can.

I told you my feelings
and you told me that
we couldn't be friends
since it made you
uncomfortable.

I guess me being me made you
uncomfortable.
I did the harmless flirting that I do to
all of my friends.
I told you I liked you because
I couldn't keep my emotions in.
And then I let you walk all over me
because **** it had to have been my fault
right?

I was wrong to think it was right of you
to hurt me like you did.
I'm not bad guy here seeing that I can't help
who I care for.
I tried to make it up to you by apologizing.
But honestly I didn't want to,
I wanted to stand up for myself
but fear consumed me.

So I'm once again I'm that
defenseless little girl
that everyone knows
and loves.

What happened in your life
To fill you with such hate
Why do you have to ruin
Things that could be great

Whenever you open your mouth
One of two things comes out
Stories of how great you are
Or words that create self doubt

You stab people in the back
And you make them feel like crud
And those are just the people
That you can call your 'bud'

It really baffles me to think
That people like you exist
But what shocks me even more
Is how it constantly persists

No matter what you do or say
You're welcomed with open arms
Its as if you've got everyone
Under several of your charms

Why are you so rude and mean
And how come no one else sees
The horribly, ugly true colors.
Of this person they're trying to please

we write when we're at our weakest
we write when we've been cut open
we write when we're bleeding
we write when we're dying inside

Not all those who write are sad,
but all sad people write.
You may not agree with this, but generally, it is true.

silence so loud
but not awkward at all.
it's kind of enjoyable to sit there
next to your grave
just like i was once sitting next to you
in your hospital room.

at least i know you're at peace.
Thank you, Grandmother. I love you.
