Freedom is delightful music
Its rhythm creates happiness
looking in the mirror
not recognizing the reflection
when this face got so old
I have no recollection

creases around the eyes
skin looking like leather
time taking it's toll
worn out by the weather

body breaking down
getting difficult to stand
arthritis is a problem
especially in my hand

hair growing in my ears
and growing out my nose
growing places it shouldn't be
even on my toes

sight a little blurry
getting difficult to see
getting up every hour
just to go ***

even though this body
will break down and age
the fire for you inside me
will continue to rage
It's the midnight hour
Goodbye yesterday, today is tomorrow
Goodbye pain, goodbye sorrow
It's a new start, today is tomorrow

There is something special about the midnight hour
In the darkness the moon is the guiding light
You pick yourself up and begin to fight
You only live once and this is your life
There is something special about midnight
Driving into work this Sunday morning, listing to the preacher on the radio. He talked about how magical the midnight hour was.

I could feel this empty chair filling all my heart with pain. Why would you leave me hanging like there's something more for us? The heat of anger rushes through me but my love for you prevails. I could go on forever like this: waiting for the love to feel,  waiting for the warmth of your skin. Tell me, is this all worth it? Are you still there? Will this be all going to end well? or it will just be another nightmare? --

As we are hurt through a wrongful act,
Hatred runs through our veins,
Fueling our desire to seek revenge.

Hatred is an uncontrollable emotion,
A mood that distorts our thinking.

Untamed hate leads to vengeance,
Convinced that retaliation is justified.

As we seek justice for agony,
Will retribution heal our pain,
Or are we still left with a scar?
