a little less than enough* is what I've been for almost all the years in my life

so I climbed up the high Alps
then I swallowed the hazel-like Ganges
and I danced around the poles of the Earth trying to find
the magic ingredient that can complete me

so I kissed the magnificent Sun
then I rubbed the genie's lamp
and I buried myself in poppy flowers to look for
the suppose-to-be beautiful part of incomplete me

Never think that that smile means he likes you
Never think that that wink means you look good today
Never think that that laugh means he wants you around
Don’t entertain such thoughts, you can’t afford to think that way

Because once you do, you start to fall
so never think about love at all

Or you’ll come out wounded and bruised
and you’ll feel broken, empty, and used
ignore the weak knees, the flutter of heart
ignore the butterflies, they’ll tear you apart
don’t be fooled, honey, it’s all a trap
and once you’re caught there’s no coming back

Never think that that hello means he missed you
Never think that that how are you means he cares
Never think that that look means he loves you too
Don’t let those things get to your head, honey don’t you dare

'Cause once they do, they'll poison your mind
you’ll be ecstatic for a while and then you’ll find

That you’ll come out wounded and bruised
and you’ll feel broken, empty, and used
ignore the weak knees, the flutter of heart
ignore the butterflies, they’ll tear you apart
don’t be fooled, honey, it’s all a trap
and once you’re caught there’s no coming back

All bad things are wrapped up like presents
but they turn out to be Pandora’s box
and they’ll shine bright like a diamonds
but one touch and it’ll turn to rocks

I was asked, why do I write and all I could think of to say,
was because I believe.

I believe looks matter.
There is
healing in a look of compassion,
love in understanding,
comfort in tears cried with me.

But one look away, ignoring
can break a heart.

I believe touch matters.
There is
care enclosed in a hug,
relief in a hand placed on a shoulder,
encouragement in a touch on the passing by.

But pulling away, distance
can break a heart.

I believe words matter.
There is
acceptance in words of forgiveness,
restoration in mercy and grace,
healing in kind, soothing whispers.

But one word out of bitterness, hatred
can break a person.

I write because I believe words matter.
I write because I believe you matter.

Sometimes it takes
thousands of words
to heal a broken soul

and I want to tell you,

I will write
word after word,
paragraph after paragraph,
page after page.
As long as it takes,
I will write until you finally believe
that you matter.

No matter how many times you tell me
I won't believe you
Because lips can lie
Unlike your eyes
Your deep, mesmerizing eyes.

When you look at her
It is different
It is full of passion and happiness
And interest and warmth
And delight and love
And loss
I can see that.

You said
I like you
But that did not make me feel happy
Not even the slightest
Because what matters
Will and always be your eyes
Your deep, mesmerizing eyes.
Do not lie to me, please.

Let me be the Angel
Who bears that pain for you
I am present in your memory
And my thoughts distract you

You will forget the pain
For that lose yourself in me
Always be ready for that detail
Which you find in a stingy bee

I shall as always tell that all is well
Entice you with my newer poems
Just lie back carefree in your bed
Feel me by the side stroking you to sleep.

Suddenly it hit you
Not everyone adores you
the way you adore them

It makes you feel bad
but then you realised that
it is not a sin to do that

You tried to put yourself in their shoes
to convince yourself that
it is okay for someone to feel that way about you

They just don't like you
accept the fact that
you are nugatory to them
Somehow, no matter how hard you tried to change the truth, you're just meaningless to some people.
