The things we've been through,
some were lies but mostly true.
We drank our strangest brew,
dreamed our lives, never knew
tomorrow what madness grew
what in love's trance we'd do.
My Doctor ordered me to exercise
So I now walk through my poems
Many a ghost I now do exorcise
I write poems to burn calories
While eating all sweets and savouries
I read poems to exercise
Enjoying words so sweet and savoury
Many years later, I’m still obese
Even after writing to burn my calories
My doctor now wants me
To step out of my comfort zone
So now from writing verse
To writing worse prose I do turn
All my effort just to burn calories
Not playing to the galleries
But for me and my calories
Without earning any salaries
Prolonging this causes calamities
All just to burn a few calories

Lost in twisted ways,
Map holds secrets, silent taunts—
Man strikes lines with rage.
Paper torn, path now erased—
Victory in empty l(h)ands.

Nobody
Do you ever
Look at a blade
And think
"Well... that belongs across my throat."?
Do you ever
Look at a bottle of pills
And think
"I should take them all."?

Because I sure as hell do
In the dead of night
neither moon nor stars in sight
     only the winds' sigh
