Sun dips, paints the sky ablaze,
with monsoon on the rise, the gloom yellow daze.
Folds of the bed, a sunken cove,
Hours swallowed whole, oblivious of.

Confined to the bed, my hold constricted,
Out there so much, vibrant, unrestricted.
I look to the lime yellow wall space,
more than a year, a neglected chase.

The vast unknown, I look from the window,
look at the people, come and go,
while I see them afar, are they happier than me
Do they feel as imprisoned as I be?

No one can keep up
with the evil deeds
done in our names.

You made me
Put my heart away
I put it on the shelf
It kept wanting to jump back in
But you told it to stop
Hope and pray
You meant
Wait...
Not yet
But
Soon
When you see unrequited love, you just want to fix it for them

We were meant to be,
even if not romantically
sometimes people just click, and that can mean friendship, too
~much love

Each dawn's light, a new day's embrace,
Yet, all seems familiar, the same.
Yet, all has shifted, with subtle grace,
A flick of time, a new world's game.

A year transforms, a life's new refrain,
A translation of all we knew.
But change's embrace, we can't quite explain,
Not until time's tapestry weaves anew.

I realised.

there is simply nothing to be done
and nothing will be undone,
it will be just as they come
and as they come, they go
I would be part of their glow

I was stumped.

Unpolished Ink
Flattened sky
ironed by night
creased by morning
beyond it the curving collar of the hills
and crows, equidistant on a wooden fence
black shiny button birds
placed to complete the landscape
time to put on the day
roll myself in the fabric of normality
and gather it tight
shaping to fit my purpose
