mediocre and
faded
the average poem
no longer strikes chords
in the heart's harp
use extravagant vocabulary
weave your words tight
until they seem uncomfortable
the original meaning lost
between the claustrophobic corners
covered in lace and pretentious boasting
try but don't try so hard
that no one but the classic readers
would be able to understand
the words you've worked so hard to convey
do not force a poem out
or it will stick your fingers and
it will create a mess
similar to a teenage boy
it will be long and uncomfortable with itself
unknowing of how to adjust
into this thing that is supposed to be
mature now despite wanting to be simple
do not rush poetry
find quiet inspiration
in silent observations
of yourself, of nature
rushing poetry makes it fast
too many unfilled thoughts
racing around in one space
not meeting each other
despite being so close together
tell a story with imagery
with delicate words of morality
tell a story with flashbacks
with soft lips and with stained shirts
tell a story with love
make your poems with care
Intro
I’m moving on, yeah, ooh
Beyond illusions, set in time and all confusions, yeah

Chorus
The dreams that come alive
When darkness comes to light
Setting my heart free
Illuminate me

(Melody)

Verse 1
I realise, the intensity
Of callings, through my dreams

Desires, escaping free
It’s boundless, it’s timeless
Horizons, a tranquil sea
The object of serenity
The yearning, for harmony
Of greatness, so endless

Chorus x2

Bridge
There is a call to greatness, a call to go beyond
Transcending all current storms
There is strength arising, yet my light is shining
I’m creating brand new forms

Outro
Such an elevated rise

With dreams that come alive
Way beyond my fears
Illuminate me

my inner thigh

There is a solitude of space
A solitude of sea
A solitude of death, but these
Society shall be
Compared with that profounder site
That polar privacy
A soul admitted to itself—
Finite infinity.
she used to write so much
about love and other
nonsensical things
she was passionate for words
her mind filled with
imaginary memories
now her papers are blank
pen's lying on the table
and her hand
fitting perfectly
in another

Today is like any other
Cloudy skies
The rain pours
Trees shift
Traffic slows

Umbrellas are useless

I feel gloomy, misty too
But it’s not the weather

It’s the silence

A piece of my puzzle that is missing

My mother

It’s been nine months

It seems longer
And shorter
Time has no worth

It just is

Like my broken heart

in the landscape of you
I am a wandering soul
with but my words
                for protection
as I make you my goal
in the expanse of your vista,
I wear the cloak of our depth
your heartbeats in mine
as we breathe
           the same breath
I feel your rugged peaks,
your valleys that sink
your core's wildflower essence
that stains me with ink
I bathe in its fragrance,
a tattooed poet's imprint
in the primal spheres in my being
enveloping my core
all the clearer
          for seeing

and when your rough
                 tempest storms
are afar, yet in view
I dive straight to
                  their center
into the magnet of you
for
     I will water your deserts
infuse fresh creeks
                        in your dry
I will run through your forests
as I call to your wild
as I straddle your cliffs,
festoon your tundra
             with blooms
steam will rise from
                your earthcore
and fill up my womb
Through the dew on our lashes
through my lava that flows,
the stars in your eyes
make my universe glow

these geographic measures
                                 I take
as you let me inside
our bloodstreams merging
as we get lost in the tides
electric pulsed woodlands
that spread iced wildfires
slaking the loops
  of floodgates' desire
and I will hold you together
if you fall, torn apart
bonded forever
in this map of our
                    hearts
I feel you. In every stone. In every leaf of every tree
