You!

Ghazal
What's it like when you live with your soul
exposed bare each and every day,
surrounded by betrayal and deceit,
you cannot help being yourself.
Everyday you're let down by some,
lied to by some,
yet you give them your only weapon,
your only defense-
yourself-
your clean, unadulterated self,
that fails to fake, fails to hide,
that reveals its true colors
no matter how hard it tries.
You know they're not real,
and you think to yourself that you
do not care, you'll forget,
even if you don't forgive,
yet indifference is a lesson,
someone like you will never learn-
can never learn.
Because you keep your soul
exposed to the environs of this *****, ***** world,
Your soul is beautiful, it is crystal
inspite of breathing in this tainted, tainted air,
So, even though your truthfulness,
your blatant genuineness exasperates you yourself,
be proud that you are who you are,
because the real ones,
the misunderstood, the outspoken, the clumsy ones,
are the best there can ever be.
1.
On a nameless planet, in ferment we first met,
eons ago, tiny microbes, evolving we were still,
yet love a flickering light, bound us together.
As two galaxies were merging fiercely then,
to turn us and our nameless pang,to worthless dust
there wasn't any time left for a future together.
In a microbial kiss pathos ruled,we melted as one,
promised to remember this tryst, imprinted so deep
wherever in cosmos we would meet in future
in whatever form we may be at that juncture.
                                        2.
This morning at the Metro that pang did revisit,
seeing you gazing at me in goosebumps I stood,
two galaxies within, I sensed were closing to to merge,
coming to my senses again I find  you've vanished
a microbe, you are in the air that every minute I breathe.

We will conquer time, go beyond, love has power infinite,
the encounters in flashes would intimate our impending union.

Crystal
Your losing the things you once thought you always needed.

Yet still in the absence of those fleeting things

you find a way to smile, to be.
This cruel winter wind
Is like a thousand daggers
Piercing through my skin
My first Haiku :)
It seems that
Forevers
Also have
An ending...
I cannot let myself
Be consumed by you
I am weak enough
Already
Without taking
Your wounds
And making them
My own

Please know
That I will
Love you still,
But I cannot be
The nerve endings
Connected
To your
Spinal cord
Your pain has become mine.
I'll be like
Every other poet
And compare you
To the stars

Because you shine
So bright and
Very beautifully
Just like them

But you and
I both know
Behind that glow
You're dying inside
