I Wanna a Man that wants Me
Laying in his bed
Soft curls nestled
just beneath his head
Long legs wrapped
'round Mine
holding me tight
Pulling us down into the
soft nest of night

In His strong soft arms I would lay
Till morning meets the misty break of day.

I Need a Man that loves the way
I smell, taste and breath
Cares for what I want
Considers what I need
Enjoys the way I form my thoughts
Listens to my dreams

I Wish a Man that accepts me
My peculiar ways.
treats like I am precious
In his strong arms I would Lay
Till morning kisses meet
The misty break of day

I Dream of a Man capable
accepting love from Me
Enjoys the way I touch His skin
Knows how Good things can be

Most of all I want a Man
That wants to be loved too
A Man that never
hesitates to say
"Woman, I Love You"

"DEAR BLANK CHALLENGE" PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS AND REPOST TRY TO KEEP IT GOING:  HELLOPOETRY "DEAR BLANK" CHALLENGE SECRET SANTA POEMS EXCEPT NOT SECRET AND NOT SANTA RANDOM ACT/POEM OF KINDNESS STRANGER POETRY APPRECIATION

I thought it might be nice to do like a secret santa thingy on hellopoetry only not secret and not santa… what I mean is, find a random stranger you literally have never met and do NOT know at all whose poetry you like and spend actual time genuinely reading their work, picking out your favorite lines and responding to them, pondering them, etc. Write something positive to them and post it as a poem with their name in the title. The “DEAR BLANK” challenge only you put their name instead of “blank”. I think we could all use a little recognition that we exist and are worth something since everyone seems a little depressed on here (including myself) which is fine, it’s a great outlet but it would be nice for people to just spontaneously find that a random stranger spent time in their life just to recognize you and care about your poetry. To write a kind poem/letter to them responding to lines in their poetry. If you need an example I just posted DEAR IMALRIGHT which was exactly what I meant. Check out imalright's poetry btw it is amazing.
I plan on doing for more than one person and I'd love for you to do the same. Spread a little kindness, we could all use a little.
Also message me if you are going to do the challenge and message the stranger you do the DEAR BLANK challenge for so they know to look for and read your poem.
I just thought that Imalright who was a perfect stranger to me seemed like a wonderful poet and a wonderful person based on her poetry so I chose her.
You do that too if you accept the DEAR BLANK challenge.
INCLUDE DEARBLANKCHALLENGE AS A HASHTAG IF YOU DO THE CHALLENGE SO EVERYONE CAN FIND THEM
please repost this over and over so we can get as many people involved as possible and try and make a difference in a couple people's lives because I just want to make everyone feel loved but I'm just one girl, I can't do it alone. Please help me with this and join me in the DEAR BLANK challenge. Take time out of your day to properly appreciate someone's poetry who you do not know.

PLEASE REPOST LET'S GET EVERYONE INVOLVED!!! ;D
THANKS!

-EMBER EVANESCENT
DEAR BLANK CHALLENGE
even if you run away,
even if you hide,
I'm going to chase you.
and I won't stop.
I'm going to pursue you
and I will find you
and you'll see me
in the sky, in the sun,
and in the moon and stars.
and you'll see me
when you buy sunflowers
and when you drink
your morning coffee
and you'll see me in
the sunshine and
you'll see me
in the rainy days, too.
I'll be hiding in the
sunrises and sunsets
and mountains and valleys
and you'll hear my voice
in the radio and in
the songs of birds.
and you'll find me
in the words you write
and in the ones you read
and you will go on walks
and you'll look for me
and you'll find me
at the end of the road
with my arms open wide.

Fatigue
 Nov 2014 Mike Rembis
-
my body's tired from doing tasks that I have no passion for
my eyelids are getting heavier by the minute,
like no amount of coffee can ever keep me awake
i am drained;
the kind of exhaustion that neither sleep nor food can ever cure

my teachers say they're preparing us for something bigger
i worry about my sleep debts but i worry more about passing
i just hope that the "bigger thing" is worth more than my health

yet here i am writing this poem that has nothing to do with the things i am required to pass
but at least it has no format,
it has no rules;
& more importantly,  i have no one to please

for my professors this poem is a waste of time
for them, this poem doesn't matter
but it does
it does to *me
I do not want to talk about love today.
I do not want to mention
affectionate contact or semi-regular ***.
The newspapers are bringing forth
welcome divisions between mankind;
fault-lines of irreconcilable differences
to justify my half-hearted attempt at solitude.

I do not want to talk about sobriety today.
I do not want to bore you
with those nervous hours between cigarettes
and how I fill each moment spent inside myself.
******* offers a ladder of perfume and hair
for me to ascend to some anaerobic bliss,
towards an isolated unity between myself

and the woman stretched out on my astral bed.
I do not want to talk about much today.
I have over-thought all that is worth a mention.

Coffee must always be hot
  It warms the soul
     And awakens the body
It fends off the sleep
   Like a dragon's
       Fiery breath
A drink for the gods
    A magic elixir for man
But it must be hot.
If it were to be cold
It would only numb..
The world is cold enough as is.
No no, brew a fresh ***
   Let the smell
Dance through the air
    And fill a morning home.
Like Jesus,
   Mr. Coffee
Will transform water
  Into something more
But even better,
       It will be hot
Coffee must always be hot.
