The day I lost her
She told me she had
forgotten my name
in someone else's lips.
I look back at my poetry
The ones about sunshine
Strawberrys
And fresh breezes
To remind myself
That at some point
I was truly happy
counting sunrise and
sunset, until tomorrow
finally brings you
He gave me dead flowers
So I can smell them every day
The rotten petals falling
The color of decay

The washed out sunflower
The dehydrated leaves
The mold on the water
The color of debris

The richly red rose
Now drooping to the floor
The color of love
Existed no more

But still I saved the flowers
And smelled them every day
And watered them with tears
To let them grow again.
You kiss me
You whisper
I love you

I kiss you
I whisper
Liar
I can taste it in your mouth
I can’t breathe
You kiss me good bye and I whisper
I love you
You hug me tight & I close my eyes
Tears stroll down my face
As I wake
It aches me to know you aren’t there.
I knew this day would come
I didn’t want it to end
Please don’t leave
Farewell my lover & friend.
i am not easy to love
i am broken
you can't just plant kisses on my skin
and expect me to grow

Something inside of me
Caught fire
And now I can’t breathe
