Do you watch me break
When our eyes meet
Can you feel me shatter
When you speak to me
Can you see me die inside
When I watch you leave
I saw my Ex yesterday and then this happened.

My Words

My words are but a shooting star
To be seen in all its glory
But as shooting stars fade in an instant
So do my words to be read once
Then fade into obscurity

The Dedpoet
I have three words in my throat,
One that I cannot set free,
Though its passionate suffering
Devours my spirit,
If I say it it would flame
The untamed hearts,
Fell the spirits,
But it stands at the tip
Of my tongue.
This is why I am unworthy,
Each maddening breath I cannot
Say it,
Until I see the Man,
His blood coursing out of His body,
The spit at His feet,
The hate at thrown at His Spirit,
Until I swallow the hurt,
Until I tear and let it all go,
This is who I am,
This is my faith,
I must recognize the Truth,
Thankyou Christ!!
I fall to my knees as I let
The faith resurgent in me,
I know that I know,
And so bled the Lamb.
One hundred and something beats per minute,
A happy tune to keep me
with it
As I stare out of the bus window
In-ear phones cancelling out,
The ambient sounds
Of busy Cambridge City
Always enjoying the diversity
Finally seeing the love

On Victoria avenue,
I saw two little girls
Sat on a tree branch together
Dangling as it flexed,
Over Jesus green
Probably siblings
Maybe even friends
I felt their feelings
Even on this crowded journey

I long for forms of childhood
Carelessness and joy
I long for companionship
Brotherly and sisterly love
I long for happiness
Smiles and sunshine forever
Maybe I've found it
When you finally see what you were looking at all along.

You hum a song inside of me
Just before the break of dawn
Spilling amber rays onto the morning water.

You light a bonfire in the middle of my chest
where legends melt into nothingness
where time bends and makes way, like the wood writhing in fire
In the steam that rises, you become one
with the teller of tales, the heat of my desire,
the ticking clock, the withering mud
Until again the fire dies
and the daylight settles down like dust.

You walk into this valley wet in fog
And ****** the life out of my body
I recognize you, the scent of your soul
The way your eyes look pleasingly at mine
Like a nightingale singing for her lover
Walking him into an eternity
where the tall blue mountains sleep.
