The highway sign read
12 miles to Bethlehem,
but I never read those
things.

It’s been years
since I trusted
my own eyes.

The night tasted
of nectar
and smoke
nectar
and motor oil,
I breathed in the darkness
all the same.

Arc of light that lit your tears,
couldn't  lighten the darkest of your eyes.

Last night it shone in the skies,
the same arc with the purest light.

My riddled mind failed to read,
the arc was nothing but the moon itself,

because darker than the skies ,
he found your eyes with darkest skies
Was just thinking could the moon be captured into a tear ... maybe !!!

Some days I feel like
happiness is only a myth

I'm tiny in this world
still trying to be someone
i'm no one in this
world
how could i ever think
to you i meant the world
There's plenty reasons

You'll never love me

My body is one

It's far from the best

It's one of the worst

Also I'm not pretty

All the other girls are

I'm not very clever

Not compared to you

I'm just average

I don't stand out

I have loads of spots

That not even make up

Can cover up

I'm not at all popular

Not many people like me

They'd rather spend their time

Making fun of me

I'm not very tanned

Instead very pale

And everyone likes tanned skin

With slim bodies to match

We both know I have none of that

My eyes aren't perfect

So don't look too close

My personality doesn't stand out

I can be very quiet

Or at times very loud

Loose strands in my hair

Fly everywhere

Loads of split ends

You are just my friend

I'm stuck in the friend zone

I don't like myself

So I don't know how you'd cope

I'm lucky to have you

Just as a friend

But I can't help wanting more than that

So reasons why you'll never love me

There's more than a few

Those are some of them

But don't worry there's more too
This is one I did ages ago but I thought I'd post it.

walk with me
turn off your sorrow
let your bones roll away
don’t let your residue go astray
you will see them
when you get there
to the place
you left in despair
it’s dark and dusty
poorly lit
a wide case of stairs are there
do you remember it
a man in a camel colored linen suit awaits
he hands you a hand crafted wooden box
you open the box
it is velvet lined
it is full of needles
among the needles is a folded letter
you wrote it the day you left
you left in despair
it contains your answers but you already know
you ascend the burgundy stairs
to the place above
you stand suspended in nothingness
stillness
there is a corner of a window pane
through it the skies are blue
they call to you
for if and when
you ever decide
you’re ready for
the other side
In my mind I can see the rain pouring everything it has into the ground,
I can see the sun shining with all its might onto the earth
and I can see the air breathing all its breath to help a single rose blossom and grow,
and I know that due to all these things,
bouquets of flowers are given to lovers to show their affection for one another
and each petal, no matter the color, represents all the feelings we may or may not feel
yet cannot express,
so we give each other flowers to show emotions that mean more than we can say,
just like all the things given to a seed growing in the ground every day
to prove that anything, no matter size, shape or color,
can become beautiful enough to express the one emotion that can never be explained by mere words,
yet easily expressed with a single rose.
