In the dimensions of your mind
Passions depth unfathomable as the raging seas
Love never ending across the vast universe and time?

What is it you seek?
In the obscurity of your dreams
A utopian false existence,
An unrealistic thirsting need?

What is it that you seek?
Perhaps blood payment,
For the plunge of the knife.
The continuous chaos,
Of an involuntary imposed life.
What is it that you seek?

Wealth and diamonds beyond all the tell.
Rings of red rubies as in the stories of forever and always,
Crowns of scrolled silver and bangles of yellow gold.
As the heart blindly searches for the answer,
What is it that you seek?

I’ll think about you sometimes
In the dead of the night
When silence blankets the earth
And fills the emptiness in my mind

I’ll find that the ghost of a smile will find its way to my lips,
Lifting the corners of my mouth
And kindling a spark that later blooms with all the fury of a flame

I’ll think of how you held me against your chest
And all the sweet nothings you whispered with every breath

I’ll think of how we laughed when you pulled the covers over our heads
And we hid underneath the sheets,
Kissing like the sun kisses the sky when it rises from the East

I’ll think of how your fingers twined with mine as exhaustion took hold
And in that moment we were happy
But happiness is fragile and we were bound to break it,
Weren’t we?

And as I lie here in the quiet,
With my thoughts as my only company
I know that these are all your ways of saying,
“I’m yours and you’re mine,”
Without letting those unspoken words actually tumble past your lips
Because that would mean falling
And you have a fear of heights.
I'm surrounded by demons
In human form
and you are the devil
In angel form
This ain't my first poem, but it's the first one I've posted here (no ****)
It was more than love -
A love beyond limits...
They were the first to discover
This newfound emotion,

It wasn't from this world,
It was divine - It must have fallen
From the heavens
When the skies opened;
There must have been
A titanic galactic explosion.

This newfound emotion
Rained down upon them,
That very first night
That their eyes met,
As they both gazed up
To the brilliant pure-white stars,

They were pulled together
By a magnetic energy,
They saw more than love light-up
In each other's eyes -
This was when
Their two worlds collided;
This was when
Venus fell for Mars.
