Never depend on anyone for your happiness or success
'Coz if they ever betray you or hurt you
It can get really difficult to find a way out of that mess
Life is a struggle
a never ending challenge
that demands
constant participation.
Sometimes
I truly want to resign,
but **** it all--
my mother always told me
that if you start something
you have to commit to it
and see it through
til the end.
So I'm in it
for the long haul
I suppose
even through all
the tears
the sorrows
the *** holes
the brick walls
and the broken fences
I cannot mend--
I'll hang tight
with it mom,
and see you when
I reach my
natural end...
Missing my mom so much. She's been gone for 25 years and I miss the sound of her laugh. She always told me to hang tight, to never give up.
after the lasses have retired for the night
and after the village rascals have gone too
you can hear the sounds of silence ebbing

after the shimmering silvery moon has risen
and after the shy stars have twinkled their best
you can see  articulate shapes dance the night away

after the village dogs have stopped their yelping
and after the hyenas have begun their mirthless laughs
you can feel the fingers of fear clutch at your timid heart

after the moonlight reveries have receded everywhere
and after all the good people of this world have shut their doors
you can be silent witnesses to a dance of the shadows

after the morning star has begun to beckon from its perch
and after some of the dancing shapes have thinned out
there's a place in your heart where the memories never fade

this empty arena where the maestros showed their mettle
and these hollow hills that echoed their rustic music
are all that's left after the silhouettes dissipate and are gone

in stupefied wonder i ask: is life but a walking, dancing mist
and the sightless but visioned shadows leer at me in sordid glee
they say life has always been this heaving and howling
I would be lying if I said I didn't check up on you. In the zodiacs, in the memoirs in my room, in my dreams. I can't deny anything I had ever done to make you unhappy, but I can tell this truth right now, *before I go to bed.
Vim and vinegar.
Lushously loose and lulling a ligation of love.
A pretense of pompous pretentiousness priming a primal powderkeg.
Destructive dictation diseased the dowry daunting a demons debate.
Imagine an image irrigating an interesting irritation.
A common citizen creating a carcinogenic cacophony.
We are none truly alone,
I've written of this before
I shall write of our souls
And the invisible chains, once more

We are all connected,
By these universal chains
From the beggar on the corner,
To the broker squandering gains

We are seven billion shades,
Different shades of the same hue
From me here in my mountains,
Across the earth to you

Whether you're a dancer,
Stepping to a tune
Or a night fisherman,
Gathering food, under the moon

These universal chains,
They bind us each together
That's what the universe wanted,
And so it is forever

Each time you defame,
Your fellow human across the way
You're defaming part of yourself,
So be careful what you say

This is how its been since the beginning
This is how it is until the end
Be kind to each other,
Remember we're all akin
Oh wow! Thank you my fellow poets. Thank you for reading and liking my words.<3
I am a borrower
collecting things that shine
all stashed in cracks and hidey-holes
where the rafters meet the roof
in the basement floorboards
lift one and you'll see
the treasures I've collected
two gorgeous glassy eyes
seven gilded antique buttons
a bouquet of sweetly fragrant lilies
a gleaming jar of pixie dust
three noble barristers
an Irishman netting butterfly dreams
a sorceress of the endless prairie
windmills like soldiers all in a line
the saddest porcelain doll
a small brown bear
trains screaming by on underground rails
a sprinkling of desert blooms
six jack-in-the-boxes so I'm always surprised
the hairless stuffed dog that bit me as a child
a Rickenbacker bass softly riffing the blues
a farmer's Ovation to accompany my woes
seashells that sing the ocean breeze
a merman from the Northern seas
tucked away in every space
packed within each sweet hollow
these simple pleasures I have borrowed
