every hit i take
is a step closer to happiness
the higher i am
the less i feel
push all the conflict away
my responsibilities
are no longer
being faced
falling faster and faster
i cant stop
they forgot to mention
the higher you are
the further you fall
I don't need you
(So why does this sweater still smell like you?).
I don't need you
(So why do I walk the long way home?).
I don't need you
(So why do I stall whenever I'm at the bottom of the hill?).
I don't need you
(So why is your favorite song in my search?).
I don't need you
(So why do I keep staying up late?).
I don't need you
(So why is my phone on loud?).
I don't need you
(So why do I keep looking at the door?).
I don't need you
(So why do I have to keep reassuring myself?).
I don't **need you.

How much is too much until
God finally says
"okay that's it, she's been through enough."

Emptiness is a relative being
It sits within each
A ******* child born of perception
And floats around somewhere in mocking silence
Between void and avoid

Emptiness cannot be labeled
You can not put a name
On cannibalized shells
But place a light on the inside
And give darkness life
And emptiness can no longer scream
Excuses, excuses-
They run through my mind
The circumstances aren't right
I'll do it next time

The time was running low
The sand slipping away
So I told you I loved you
In the last days of May

You told me you felt the same
Though it didn't show
The entire summer you left me
Feeling weary and hallow

I waited for you
To sit down and stay
Tomorrow, tomorrow
But never today
This is about my last year experiences with my current boyfriend.

Do not look at me and say,
“Goodbye.”
As our bodies pass and go
through the transparency of space.
The hushing scrape of concrete
rests in such parting words.
weighing me down with doubt.
“Goodbye.”
It sounds so final
like the last exhalation in life,
or the flutter of a paper heart
mimicking a white flag.
“Goodbye.”
It’s reminiscent of loss.
