You ask me where I met her…
In a dream world, I guess
It was during night’s astral stroll
That I first saw that beautiful soul...

I saw her deep in thought
Realized the truth that I forgot
The ethereal presence was a savant spirit
In body whom I had never met...

Looking at me…a look of askance
‘Would you guide my ship, be my navigator’
I waved at the nothingness…at a mirage
Said ‘sure if you were to be by my side
Murmuring your sweet guidance in my ear’.

As we lifted off on the zephyr
Saw the tors and vales far below
The moon looking…peering at us
The stars with a benevolent glow

She pointed towards the dark horizon
That’s where she wanted us to go
The kiss of an arrow shot from a bow
But then, did souls need worry
About distance and time's flurry?

Oblivious to the world’s reality,
We flew into a dreamy eternity…
I play
in another dimension.

Color trailing garden vines
climbing around my mind.

There all things are possible,
every completely improbable
conception of my wild imagination.

Oh John Green!
Why must you see me this way?
You make me weep
and wish they would live another day.
You are so witty
but you do lack certain skills
Killing the main character is so unfriendly
But chocolate will solve the problem anyway
You make me think a lot of things
but they don't have a lasting effect
I know you throw a lot of paper in the bin
But in all due honesty
I feel like setting you ablaze.
Much love,
J
I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST JOHN GREEN.  Meant for humour.
He sits on the porch
with a shotgun on his knee,
and a mean dog growling low,
daring anyone to sniff
around his exotic flower.
Who could ever be tempted?
They all can see
They stare at us with eyes squinted
Prying mischievous eyes
Our every move noted
At the corner of my eye
I can see them exchange glances.
Whispers roam and coat my senses

Let them know
Let them see
This love is different
Why can't it be?
All we want is to be happy
To love who we want
Body and soul freely.

They don't understand
We don't have to make them understand
We just need to hope that maybe
Our happiness can be their happiness.
Barricades of questioning and disgust
Their opinion doesn't define us
Stand proud for you are strong
Defying the boundaries of love itself.
Are there even boundaries?
Judgmental *******.
The successful
Weight loss program:
Cook, simmer
Then eat
One lean poem
Per day.
There's a large white canopy
In the cemetary;
The guests are in their best.
The vows averred
So long ago
Are proved
And laid to rest.

The effigies once
On the cake,
Immortalized,
At the wake.

Inside the gated community,
Dead and wed,
A surety,
Now silent
For eternity.
Darkness nurses the dreams
Waiting to take flight at break of dawn
The thoughts have found a voice
Waiting to be expressed on paper
Communicating the deepest feelings
Taking the pen in earnest
Before the ink dries
To convey, that isn't spoken
